Please anyone here can help me? Am from Nigeria but currently living in China with my Canadian spouse for almost 6 yrs now. we just got the SA from our lawyer in Canada that my documents will be forwarded to AVO. whats the next step from AVO office and this my PA timeline.. will i have to fly to Accra for visa interview or submit passport when requested..

PERMANENT RESIDENCE APPLICATION STATUS : IN PROCESS
1. We received XXXXX application for permanent residence on March 22, 2016.
2. We started processing XXXX application on May 18, 2016.
3 .Medical results have been received.

Thanks and looking for you guyz reply and for those of you still waiting for SA or Passport request u shall get that soon..

You will have to wait for now. The rest is in the hands of Accra office. Any additional documents requested will appear in your mails.if the VO is satisfied with your presentation you wouldn't have to go for any interview.it will be straight forward.so chill up for now and do what you love doing to beat time

Is this family sponsorship application or Economic route, and when did you apply? I wouldn't worry about what exchange rate they would be using.

Wow!!! Why is AVO really slow. I am March 2016 Applicant. Things are not this slow in other countries. I dont think AVO has granted any 2016 applicants visa, they are still busy with 2015 applicants. I hope things get better

You are right, AVO is currently attending to Sep 2015 applicants, and it could take another 2-3 months before they start looking at 2016 applicants. It is very disheartening when you see how other VOs are dishing out PPRs within 1-4 months. We hope for the best.
