Hi Guys,

So if anybody is wondering why they haven't opened their files, Ghana is really slow at these things. When I applied under PNP for Manitoba, it took me 2 years from the onset of everything. I am now applying for my wife to come over. I have applied for that since July 2014, was approved and her details were sent to Accra on September 15. I held on to not pay the Landing Fees till January. Once I paid the fee in January, my lawyers received a message saying her file is on review. This is the message we received from our lawyer...

"I trust that this message meets you both well. We received communication from the visa office (attached) advising us that our last submission (of your RPRF receipt) has been received and your application is now in queue for review. We now await further advisement from the visa office and hope to receive this no later than end of April 2015." IN QUEUE FOR REVIEW. THEY AREN'T EVEN REVIEWING IT YET...

Now, what I did in the past was totally forgot the application for my Permanent Residence and didn't even think of it anymore since it was taking long. I used to check every week as I am doing now for my wife's papers and trust me I understand what most people are going through. It's not easy. But I'm sure everyone's decision will be made when the time is right.

Thanks for you support so far, I have started filling out my forms.
I have a question concerning imm5669 (Background declaration). List any government positions you have held:
I did my one year internship training in a government hospital. Can I list that as a government position? and write position held as "Intern" or is it irrelevant?

Thank you for the update. Well at least we know they opened files that they received at the end of August. They opened them at the end of January 2015. So they should work on September soon if they haven't already.

Please list everything. It doesn't hurt and say what the position was. (Intern is fine)

Can you please tell us when you got that email? as soon as you sent the money in January? or just a few days ago?

It was one week after I sent the receipt to my lawyers. The lawyers sent the receipt to them. Not sure where they sent it though, but that's about it.

Hey Guys,
I see the waiting game is still on. I have decided to check ecas or even this thread once in a while to avoid the stress. But is it possible for someone to create a spreadsheet for all applicants waiting on Accra VO. I am not very good at it but it will help us to determine how fast Accra is processing applications.......Just a thought.

I found this forum very helpful, thought I should share my timeline with you too.
I submitted my application to Mississauga in July, got sponsorship approval around Sept. My status is currently "In Process". Hope everything will be successfully concluded soon.

Can you tell us when in September? and when did your status change to In Process.

Opester's file got sent on September 22 and and gamerwalt was on September 15. So it would be nice to see when yours got sent because they haven't heard anything

Am not sure of the exact date of the file transfer to Accra, however I got the sponsorship approval on the 3rd day of September.
