As Moh said, make sure you have a complete package.
We were married November 26 and we are both Nigerians. I returned to Canada with my husband's signed application, his proof of Medicals and police report.
Yes, they require originals of the forms.

You can fill out all the forms and send him those that requires his signature. He signs and return the application forms to you.( including police report and medicals if not done yet)

Hello Mekus,

Welcome to the forum. They're started working on November applications so you should be getting SA very soon, within a week or 2. It's takes days or a couple of weeks for your file to get sent to Accra.

After that, most members heard something from that office (either a passport request or more docs needed) 2 or 3 months after the file is received in Accra.

Good luck, order the notes about 1.5 or 2 months after your file gets sent to Accra to see what's going on.

Follow this link and the applicant will have to sign a consent and send it to the sponsor and the sponsor can order it. It takes 30 days to arrive and it's 5 bucks.

Husband's application also shows received -August 11.
File transefer: October.. Guessing
Med received. pRPF fee paid in January..Received acknowledgement of receipt sent to/ from Acccra in Jan.

Remember someone was asking if there were any August/ September applicants.

Hello! yes I was the one asking if we have any August or September. Welcome.

You and I have the exact same timeline..my SA was Oct 27 but I never got an email that they received it. That's weird because Accra is not known for sending AOR, they never did. I guess it depends on the officer. But I know my file was transferred on Nov 3 and they opened it on Nov 14 according to GCMS notes.

That's great..now if only we find any July applicants and find out if they got anything. NKT was June and she was asked for documents way back in November which tells me they must've opened August and September by now.

I'm sorry did you get the AOR from Accra in October? or Jan? This AOR was for the RPRF? or for receiving the application?

Hi Lamour, One quick question, can the medical be done by any doctor or does it have to be done by a specific (or group of verificed) doctor? If yes, do you have the list or the link where i can get the list?

Sorry for the confusion. Actually just read my GCM note. even more confusing. but anyways. My version again,

Got SA October 29th, (of which from reading the GCM note, looks like the paper file was sent in September 04. Saw another date, November 4. these are by the way)

Payed landing fee before they asked, in January. Sent the receipt to Accra and Mississauga by email and I got an email back from Accra a couple of days latter, like last week Monday, saying they got my email. They even quoted a reference no.
