it called gcms note , it gives you an idea what the visa officer is saying about your case, what they've done so far , etc, it 5 dollars and takes 30 days to get. The applicant will have to sign a consent form , scan and send it up you in Canada to order, select email so that you can receive it through your email . If they haven't started working on your file you may not see much written , But it really helpful . Below is a link to order it .you can order one later if you want http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp I don't know why it not helighting blue , copy and past and lemme know if you it comes up or if you have any difficulty . Apply it online coz it faster . All the instructions are there

Hi everyone!

We have received an email from CIC requesting a few documents.

Ø > Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate from UK and Ghana.

Ø > A copy of your passport bio page.

Ø > Evidence that your sponsor intends to return to Canada.

We knew about the police checks and have started the process of getting them, are a bit confused why they asked for the passport page again though? We already submitted one, maybe they didn't like the format. Any tips on how to scan (eg, should it be just the page with details and photo or also the page beside it).

Originally I sent in my University acceptance and proof of scholarship as proof but now I can add much more like my signed lease in canada, passport stamp (i returned 6 weeks ago), proof of my current job, bank statements etc. and they should be happy with that.

I wonder how long it will take them after this - I just so happy the processing has begun and once they have these things we are good to go! Accra is movig fast - hooray!

That's good, send all the required document. They do misplace documents so resend the requested bio page of your passport. They should make a decision soon give them 4 weeks or less.

hurray you are getting closer . Am glad you heard from them just at the time you are getting the police clearance . Depending on how fast you send then they shouldn't take more than a month hopefully , you can also add any letters from friends or family saying they know you are returning or from your current boss or whoever can attest to the fact that you are relocating soon to Canada if you get the visa , it may not be necessary though , because what you plan to send is excellent . Send everything they asked for and keep praying too , track to make sure they got it , all the best

Praise God for us again. Our Passport is ready for pickup ;D Hubby is now ready to book his flight.....
