You're on a good track, some January applicants are still waiting for file transfer, as said medical request takes 5-7 months, but looks like you'll get it earlier. However, you can apply for a visit visa, there's no harm in trying though there's a high chance of refusal but whatever the decision may be, It doesn't affect your sponsorship application. Just provide enough proof of ties to Nigeria.

Edit: Did your wife submit in October or March? Cos you wrote elsewhere that she submitted in October 2018.

That's an automated message to let you know that your document has been delivered in Accra. Ignore the passport part--they are assuming the document you sent is a passport, which is not always the case. I'm guessing you sent the document through the VSF? This is very normal.

My application to sponsor my spouse was transferred to AVO on Feb 27th 2019. Still waiting for MR, but on gckey account it shows background check has been started. Is this a normal sequence of events? I thought medicals first before BGC. Anybody else in same situation?

From what I have gathered, AVO applicants that applied after July 2018 noticed that their gckey background check has started before medical request. So this might be normal for your case.

Any updates. April 30th here. Background check commenced 6th of May. Received pre arrival on Tuesday 7th of May. So anxious. What’s the wait time between Pre-Arrival and ppr now

Hi,
Really no specific or particular wait time as each application differs well be looking at days to weeks. Its when you get it then you can determine your own wait time
Just generalising so as not to raise your hope but expect it soon.

I'll say tomorrow, Monday/Tuesday, judging by what they did last week, but @samola10 is right. Just be patient.

Hi,
To hear your application returned with no note, not to worry you good option to know why. Just send a case specific enquiry to ask what went wrong, probably there is either a missing documents, application not properly filled out.
So just send the enquiry and for reply.
