TorontoWhere here are you coming to?
Have either of you had past history with immigration?Honestly I don’t even know and there’s no communication at all
I don’t think it applies to we that are already waitingHas anyone received request for doing biometrics at a VFS/vac centre yet?
Starting July 31 it is mandatory to give biometrics in order to enter Canada for PR applicants among others but it is not clear if that applies to pending PR applicants.
In the list of exemptions it does not clarify what requirements are for current and pending applicants.
It seems that everyone whose case will be dealt with after July 31 will have to do this extra step.
Any help is appreciated.
The wording on their website says this:On the list of exceptions it doesnt state that pending applications are exempt so that's what I am inquiring about so since it is not listed it would seem to apply to everyone entering Canada after July 31 and that we will need to do the extra step if physically entering Canada after that date. There will be an extra cost and delays as biometrics are usually done by appointment at the visa centres.
No idea where it is on the IRCC website, but it definitely says it in the PPR email you'll receive:please who has the link on cic or avo website where it states the passport validity period must be at least 6 months valid at the time visa will be stamped on it?
