Congratulation!

I have also received the Passport Request for my son. We are inland applicants and I am not sure how this process will go. The letter also says that if we are currently in Canada, we need to submit the webform within 5 days of receipt of the PPR.

I tried to look for the threads but got no luck.

If anyone has more information about Virtual Landing and Passport Request for an Inland dependant child, it would be great if you could please share the details.

Hi, I am sponsoring my 2 yo kid for a PR, we both are inland. And I heard back from IRCC today with a letter subjected as "IRCC Permanent Residence Confirmation Portal" where they are asking for information for setting up a Principal Applicant account on this new portal they are putting in place.

--> I wanted to check if anyone else heard from IRCC regarding this new portal for final PR confirmation.
--> If yes, what I should expect from IRCC next after sending them the details they asked for.

Last interaction i had from IRCC was on June 17th 2021 where they sent an invitation for pre-arrival services. Thanks.

My daughter is already in Canada and I have applied her sponsorship indicating that, she is already in Canada.
Hence it should be Inland application in my opinion. Refer below extract from "https://www.comelovecanada.com/family-sponsorship-canada.html"

Inland Family Sponsorship
The second option is "in Canada sponsorship" for spouses, common-law partners and close family members such as parents and dependent children. Inland sponsorship is used when a person in Canada has a temporary Canadian status, either as a worker, student or visitor. When applying for in Canada family sponsorship, the individual who is sponsored for Canadian PR may qualify for an Open Work Permit allowing him or her to seek employment during the sponsorship application process. This is not possible with Outland Family Sponsorship files.

This is how they'll do the virtual landing for applicants who are in Canada.

Guys, I also received one email from IRCC asking for passport, 2 photos, the copy of the letter and height and eye color of my 1 year old daughter. So what does this mean ? Can I submit the webform to VFS ?

it hurt me a little to see no progress on my application received Aug 12, 2020. I asked my MP to follow up but they got same information I see on GCKEY they advised me to wait until end of August then they will follow up again for a real update.

Sorry to hear about that buddy. I would encourage you to send a webform to IRCC explaining a strong and valid reason why you want the visa application to be expedite.

Hi! I’m also waiting IRCC sending me the “PR confirmation Portal” for my son’s application. I found IRCC has given some details about PR confirmation online, https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio.../immigrate-canada/pr-confirmation-portal.html

Guys, I got payment link from VFS but there are 2 different emails, can I use either of them and pay it. One email says two way courier link and the other is a regular email from VFS.

Hi both the links are same when you check. Pay only on one link.

Thank you for the information. No, I have a similar case like you (we both are inland) but after the Pre-arrival services letter, I got a Passport Request Letter. I never got the request to setup the PR Confirmation. My Visa Office is New Delhi, what is yours? Not sure if it is based on how the Visa Office handles the case.

As of now, I have sent a web form to inform the Visa Office that we are in Canada and waiting for their reply.

I think NDVO started processing it in May 2021, so I think the process is nearing completion as they are releasing pre-arrival and PPR now.

I dont even know if it is with NDVO but if its nearing completion, I will be very happy

In the same boat as you, just that the VO is Shanghai, and no idea when the application is going to be picked.

I remember seeing a dedicated thread for this. Don't have the link, but a search on this website should take your there. I remember people discussing the detailed steps to get it done.

I am not able to find that, can you please help me with the link ?
