You can’t sponsor a child inland. You always sponsor outland but you can be in Canada while applying outland.

I was asked the same thing last week, turns out they needed a copy of our current marriage certificate and the translation.
This will hold your application if you do not email them or report a technical issue in ECAS to ask them.

Hey does anyone know what is this status ?

• We need additional documents to continue processing your application. We will send you a message with more details.

Its being over a month like that and I havent received any notication so I am not sure which additional documents they need. To be honest I dont think they need anything, The medical were passed like 2 months ago...

Sponsoring child in Angola-passport request:
On the document requesting the passport it states to submit to the nearest VAC along with the VAC passport Transmission fee. This is different from the $150 sponsorship and processing fee we already paid before? I don’t see anything else on the IRCC website that’s has this name for the fee.

The $150 is your application fee to apply
Its not the fee for the VAC to submit your passport
Thats a different cost.

Ok..what about the VFS Global Centres in India ? Are they working?

You should not be bothered about it if your child is in Canada.
My daughter is in Canada so passport will be submitted to Ottawa.

You applied sponsorship from where? And did you apply trv also in parallel?

TRV was applied last year from India, they travelled here in Nov 20 and then I applied for her sponsorship Inland.

update: we just received the PPR letter via email today! Mexico VO is moving quickly now. They are usually slow.

My daughter is already in Canada and I have applied her sponsorship indicating that, she is already in Canada.

This is not possible with Outland Family Sponsorship files.

They are still processed as an outland application for some reason. U can be in canada and also apply outland as well

My sister became PR in 2019 (first entry as PR). At the time of her PR application she was unable to include her son in her application as her ex husband didn't want to give full custody of their son. Earlier this year she came to Canada permanently, and has now applied to sponsor her 16 year old son who is in Pakistan. She was now able to get full custody of the child so that is not an issue any more.

Acknowledged (AOR): June 16, 2021
Instruction to pay bio metric fee: June 23, 2021
Confirmation of Receipt of fee: 2nd July, 2021
Biometric Instruction: August 4, 2021

I have a few questions about the application, and am hoping others in similar situation can share their experience:

1. She applied to sponsor her son as soon as she arrived in Canada. At the time of submitting sponsorship application she didn't have a job. However she later landed a job and has sent her pay stub to IRCC using the webform. Sponsorship application status still shows IN PROCESS. From what I see in recent posts on this forum it typically takes two months for sponsorship approval. Based on the time line do you think progress on this application is normal or indicative of a specific outcome?

2. Is it normal to receive Biometric Instruction before medical request?

3. Has anyone sponsored their children from Pakistan in 2021 or 2020 and what are the timelines for their application?

Same here, just a few hours ago I got my Pre-approval services email.
Anyone here experienced, who could share that approx how long it took them from this stage (pre-approval) to Passport request (PPR)?

All calculations are running together in my mind

Hello Everyone,
I just got the Passport Request letter (PPR) for my 2-year-old child today. So I can say that applications in New Delhi VO are moving at a better pace, as I had received an Invitation for ''pre-arrival services'' on 28th July ( 8 days ago).

Que: Did Anyone, who send their Passport to the New Delhi Visa office, got stamped? I would request if someone could share their experience.
I just wanted to know the time VO takes to revert.
Not sure if the New Delhi visa office is operational, as they are not picking the phone, and over email, there are standard replies.

Guys, how long does it usually takes for PPR after Pre-arrival services letter receipt?

Hi Himu,
for PPR it depends on case to case basis. I have noticed here that after Pre-arrival, there have been people who got their PPR within 1-5 weeks.

- For one of my friend's child (1 year old) who had applied for Dependent child PR (in Feb 2021), 2 months before me, he got 'Pre-arrival services email in 1st week of July, but now his application status has changed from 'Decision made' to 'In Progress'.
- In my case, I have just received PPR for my child (2+ years), i.e, 8 days after getting the 'pre-arrival services'. I really don't know, what worked in my case.
So keep your fingers crossed
