Congratulations!!!!
I am just wondering what is process after you got the PPR. (I am assuming you applied as outland and your kid is currently in Canada.)
Do you need to submit the passports to Ottawa?
Yes. The instructions include if you are in Canada.
Here's the part from the PPR that I received from my son's VO (outland):

"If you are residing in Canada - please submit all required documentation through the Case Processing Center in Ottawa (CPC-O): If you have a mailing address in Canada and if you and all the accompanying dependents on your application are currently in Canada and plan to be in Canada for at least three months, you may submit your passport(s) to the Case Processing Centre - Ottawa. You are required to send your document(s) together along with a copy of this letter by mail or courier to the following address with the additional following document: A self-addressed, pre-paid Expresspost envelope from Canada Post. Purchase your prepaid letter-sized (32 x 24 cm) Canada Post Epresspost envelope (Regional if you live in Ontario or Quebec; National for other provinces and territories), at any Canada Post retail outlet. Complete the mailing label showing your full mailing address in the "Deliver To" field. Make a note of tracking numbers for each envelope. Enclose the pre-paid Expresspost envelope along with your documents and a copy of this letter. You can purchase a Canada Post shipping label on line at: http://www.canadapost.ca/personal/tools/cst/intro-e.asp Please note that the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa will not return documents to a Canadian address via any other courier than a pre-paid self-addressed Expresspost envelope. Submit all documents in a single package and send it to the following address: CPC - Ottawa - PR 365 Laurier Avenue West Ottawa ON K1A 1L1"

I already sent it to Ottawa via Canada Post. Not received yet. Best of luck to everyone :)

Thank You...
Yes its an outland application and my kid is still in India...I had applied for TRV but there was no decision in that yet...

Congratulations!!

Finally, you got that after long, long waiting period!!
I can't imagine how much you were frustrated during all that time.

I am really happy for you.
Thank you so much

Yes definitely it was a long wait, specially for application of an infant where No Biometric, No Background Check, No Criminality Check is required, still it took 18 months....

I understand, its the wait and being away from family that's bad. Also due to covid I can't get him visitor visa or anything. Are you guys aware of any other way I can get him here while waiting for his PR?

Well you can get his visitor visa done. They are approving mostly as they are giving preference to family reunification.

I have applied and waiting from November, no update on that too.

Hi I applied PR sonponsership application as well as visitor visa for my son, today morning i got letter to complete medical examination for my son.
As per my knowledge visitor visa not required medical examination but i dont know why ircc sent a letter to complete medical examination for TRV application.

Can you please anyone help to understand on why they sent medical examination request. what are the chances of getting visa ?

When did you apply for visitor visa, just curious to find time take for them to get back to you with this request. To your query, probably more experienced guys in this group might answer.

Thanks. When going through this thread I did see few people informing that they did health check for TRV. So probably for young kids they need it.
Can you please direct me the page. One more question that what are the chances of getting visa if we are at medical examination stage.
