I was reading the process details. If its done through Kiosk and no stamping, the timeline is 6 months only.

I guess then the option is to exit and re-enter

I arrived in September '2019. Sent the package to CPC Sydney in early October. Got AOR in November along with sponsorship approval. But I landed a job in November and updated CIC using webform.

There is no minimum income requirement. But you need to highlight how you can support the dependent child. In my case initially I had shown my savings.

So make the application and update once you get a job. provide the Job letter details highlighting your salary just to be safe. No stated requirement for the same for child sponsorship.

I have granted an visitor visa record extend for more 10 month, with the evidence of we are in the process of sponsorship application.
If you do exit and re-enter at the border, it by default gives 6 months. and I assume that is not a "extend", but a new entry.

Medical test is mandatory for getting PR for Dependent child. For small children no biometrics.

For Outland file transferred to local visa office after this change. They started working on your file and your application is complete. But this could be a glitch. Dont read much into it.

Thank you. I am thinking of making an extension application before 30 days of 6 month period. If not will travel out of the country.

Cantex20, thank you for responding. From what I have been reading, it can take up 2-3 months before the decision is made. Which visa office are you if you don't mind me asking?
