The 2nd AOR clearly says, the processing will be finished in 8 months.

So we can expect good news anytime now.

according to their website-- www.cic.gc.ca, the processing times ( which means when the VO actually opens your file and starts processing) given for NEW DELHI is 11 months, and this is based on FULL APPLICATION PACKAGE, received by them. for eg, my documents were submitted to ND CHC ON 24TH JUNE 2010, and so they will open my file after completion of 11 months from that date, which is 24th may 2011. so if everything goes according to their estimated time-frame, i could get any reply from CHC ND, in the months of JUNE 2011. This is just my judgement, i could be wrong.

My Docs submission Aug 2010

What do my details suggest? when will my file be picked up for processing?
My thinking says not before May2011

YES, THEIR WEB-SITE SAYS THE PROCESSING TIMES FOR NEW DELHI ( WHICH IS 11 MONTHS), FROM FULL APPLICATION PACKAGE RECEIVED. AND YES, WE PRE-JUNE APPLICANTS ARE A BIT UNLUCKY FOR THAT MATTER. MANY POST-JUNE APPLICANTS HAVE ACTUALLY STARTED LOOKING FOR THEIR ACCOMODATION IN TORONTO. AND WE R STILL STUCK. REMEMBER ONE MORE THING THAT THERE IS A BIG QUEUE FOR THE PROCESSING TO EVEN START. THERE ARE MANY APPLICANTS WHO HAVE CROSSED THEIR STIPULATED TIME-FRAME AND HAVE STILL NOT HEARD ANYTHING FROM CHC ND. JUST IMAGINE THEIR STATE OF MIND. SO WE NEED TO BE PATIENT. SOMEONE FROM ANOTHER THREAD HAD QUOTED " TO OBTAIN CANADIAN PERMANENT RESIDENCE, ONE MUST HAVE A THICK SKIN AND A LOT OF PATIENCE". HOW TRUE HE IS .

Yes the processing time given on the this website is based on complete application package i.e. submission of the entire file with supporting docs to the ND office (where we recieve the second AOR). The processing time is a total of 11 months after submission of complete Application Package (including medicals and Visa issuance, 10 months is not an updated one), so by current standards, one will be processed completely in 11 months.

@ Anil_india: Dont worry Bro, may be u will get the medicals & Passport requirement together, as they have to close ur case in 11 motnhs anyhow...Good Luck to all of u.

If u recall, initially in the 2nd AOR we recieved, the time frame was just 3 months, it was according to the then processing experiences, but then it was extended to 8 months, because of the heavy load, (and as they are going slow on the pre-June files), and then it again got updated to 11 months, in a case specific mail , which I send to them, they clearly asked to First refer to the updated Average Processing Time on their website and only then come back to them.

Ok Now this is also interesting. Below is a quote from the Processing time page which has been just updated:-

"The tables below indicate application processing times at Canadian visa offices outside Canada. The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between January 1 and December 31, 2010. Processing times are subject to change."

The change is that earlier the dates were for files uptill June 25th, 2010 only, but now it has changed till Dec 2010, so most of the pre-June cases seems to have done with, may be E-CAS updation is pending/slow and also major take-away that further our average processing time will not revise/extend.

So its a wait and watch game.
