Thread 1111 and 0111 who have submitted docs in delhi CHC Only 2010

I GOT MY PASSPORTS BACK TODAY, WAS REALLY HAPPY WHEN I GOT A CALL FROM POSTMAN, BUT THEN AGAIN IT IS ND CHC . I GOT LETTER SAYING THAT PLEASE RENEW YOUR PASSPORT AS YOUR PHOTO IS VERY OLD AND WE CANNOT STAMP VISA ON IT. IT JUST DELAY OF ANOTHER ONE MONTH . I HAVE TRAVELLED TO MORE THEN FIFTEEN COUNTRIES AND NEVER HAD PROBLEMME WITH PHOTO . BUT WHAT CAN I DO BUT TO WAIT. :'(

congrats man for the visa in advance. BTW, u can get another passport in a week, under TATKAAL SERVICE.

in tatkaal service can any body else verify my document other then SHO. as they have mentioned another list of persons as well , who can do this.

on your passport application form, stick your new photograph, and get that whole form notarized by any notary. this is the actual procedure stated in the website of PASSPORT SERVICES INDIA. go through their web-site and u will come to know

there is no where mention on the form that it has to be notry attested. yes photocopies has to be attested but anybody can do that who has attesting powers

i think it is a good idea to contact a good passport agent and take his advise. u can also ask the same thing to CHC ND via telephone or fax, if possible

on passport site they have given so many options for verifications but i think they don't accept anyone else these days, they only accept police verification for tatkaal passport , bec. my cousin recently had this problem den he gave sho police verification and now he got the passport.

congrats you got the Visa
Sorry as they want new photo on PP

For renewal PP you dont need a verification or Police letter or anything of that sort unless there is a change in address
If you have a change in address then look for an SP rank officer for punjab and DCB level if from Delhi for verification

Otherwise

Get The letter from CHC you got attach it to The PP form and submit it to the Local PP office under tatkal one week max you will be on the road

Agent,This way that way is all waste of time and money

Sorry as they want new photo on PP

i mean i can go to SHO to verify my passport / character but if passport officer dos not go along or asked for police verification first and put me on a latter appointment i can do nothing but wait . so i am going to get verification first before going to passport officer on Tuesday.

and for visa , all they have written is " a visa cannot be granted on this passport as photo is very old and your passport is also expiring " they have said nothing about that a visa has been granted.

but DBC it is more delay yaar . i might be coming to Delhi next week or on weekend . so will catch up with you then

just read all the posts. (was out of delhi)

i agree, u r rit, they hvnot mentioned abt the Visa granted.

but u just think on 'wat they wud need UR N E W PP FOR? '

for Tatkal PP , 2 yrs back and for the Issuance of Address proof, Noc from Delhi Police, for Full Docs.
I had to go thru -- >

if u go thru SHO channel, or the normal pace PP (not the TATKAL),
it will surely take more time. 1-2+ months.

if u can 't get a DCP officer, (perhaps the Magistrates also can do the honors)
u wont get a single chance to submit the forms via Tatkal system.

in this process the DCP office (which has a separate deptt. called H E G),
accepts the application of the address Verification cert.
All such needs a Jack.
