We are writing to confirm receipt of your registration form for the Canadian Immigration Integration (CIIP). You have made an excellent choice to participate in this program, as moving to a new country can be a daunting experience. However, the Canadian government is committed to ensuring your success and has, therefore, started CIIP.
A CIIP session includes a one day group presentation and a short personalized career counseling session.
The one-day orientation presentation that will provide you with:
An overview of Canadian culture, society and economy
An introduction to Canadian regions and provinces where you may find opportunities more suited to you
An understanding of professional & occupational requirements and help becoming job ready for Canada, including job search techniques
A tool kit to help you understand and address challenges you may face as you immigrate to Canada
This promises to be an interactive and exciting day, also offering you the chance to connect with other immigrants.
The personalized counseling session will be held on the following day. During the personalized counseling session, you will be provided with information pertinent to your own career and destination in Canada. It will provide you with a personalized action plan, full of priority steps that will help you address personal challenges and begin integration into the Canadian labour market before you even leave India.
You will also receive contact information for immigrant serving organizations, colleges and employers in Canada.
We offer the one day sessions usually on a Monday, with the personalized counseling sessions on Tuesday or Wednesday in New Delhi at our main office. Be advised that we also offer sessions in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, and Mumbai on a monthly basis, though these locations are dependent upon the number of registrations received.
CIIP encourages all principal applicants, spouses and adult dependents (18 or older) to attend our sessions. We encourage you to leave any young children at home, as childcare facilities are not available.
In advance of the session, please send us your resume and a copy of your Canadian visa or the letter from the High Commission asking you to complete your medicals (if you haven't sent us yet) . These should be sent for each person attending.
When you come into the session, please bring a passport size photograph for each person attending and a notepad(s) to take notes.
Attending a CIIP session may seem like an enormous investment of your time. However, moving to Canada is an even bigger investment. Statistics have shown that many new immigrants have difficulty finding work in their chosen field as well as integrating into Canadian society. The CIIP session is designed to change this for immigrants and ensure their smooth transition into Canada and the Canadian labour market.
We are looking forward to seeing you and helping you on your onward journey.
