You need to take proper followup with the SP office for speedy Police inquiry. I too applied to renew passport for appearance change, name change and address change in normal. I get forwarded my police verification on the same day from sp office to local police station and completed verification the 2nd day. So keep in touch with Sp office and local police station then again sp office to forward verification to passport office. (keep ready photo of two Persons of your area with their Photo id copies and one photo of passport holder for Police verification, to speed up your Passport reissue)

I have completed the police verification from local police station on the 3rd day. Do I follow it up at the DC office for quicker verification to passport office?
In how many days did you get your passport in Normal application?

Dear Friend Followup is must at every stage that u can manage, In normal without followup it may take over 60 days to get the passport renewed and you can get it in 4-5 days too if do every thing for your verification till it reaches at PP office concerned. Go to DC/ SP office with your file number, to forward the same to PP office

2) They are working on March april applicants at the moment
3) applicants left over from jan/feb with him are getting MR in ones and twos
4) Stamping has not started
5) No matter who and when One got MR stamping will be based on the date of payment to CIC

1) Processing is NOC Based I think its based on application received date
2) They are working on March april applicants at the moment Agree
3) applicants left over from jan/feb with him are getting MR in ones and twos Agree
4) Stamping has not started Agree
5) No matter who and when One got MR stamping will be based on the date of payment to CIC I think it based on individual case
