Today,i was thinking that what is the average duration between MR and PPR1 among those who have received the 6-12 months or 18 months letter. For this purpose, i have done a small analysis of the sheet which SMSH is maintaining on Google Docs because before the medicals, it is only painful because of the long wait but when an applicant appears in the medical, the real countdown starts after it because he has to travel within the validity of the medicals and the medicals are valid for 1 year only so the more early he got the PPR 1, PPR2 and the visa, the more early and with more convenience he can make all the travel arrangements.

Although, they do the background checks in between these 2 stages i.e. the MR and PPR1 and there is not defined time period to complete it but obviously, after the medicals, we got more eager to hear any news from the CHC.

Therefore, today, i have decided to analyze all the 33 cases (including 6-12 months, 18 Months and both from London and Paris and also some of those have received their PPR2 as well) and checked that how many of them received their PPR1 in how much time? I have concluded the following results:

- Total Cases Who Received PPR1 Were 33
- 15 Cases Received PPR1 in Less Than 3 Months ( 45% )
- 14 Cases Received PPR1 in More Than 3 Months But Less Than 6 Months ( 42% )
- 4 Cases Received PPR1 in More Than 6 Months But Less Than 10 Months ( 12% )

The bottom line is that the majority ( 87% ) received their PPR1 in less than 6 months or we can also say that after PPR2 and visa stamping, they will have around 4 months to conclude all the things and to pack up.

Finally, best of luck to all of the applicants. May Allah bring their PPR1, PPR2 and Visa Stamping as soon as possible. And Yes, don't forget to give me plus 1 if you like this analysis.

Alhamdulillah by the grace of Almighty Allah, The Lord of the worlds...

Today I have received the medical forms + PCC

But he did not ask RPRF 980$

Because

.
I paid it already in 2010 with full docs;)

The only problem in medical forms is the names are not as per passport
Like he mentioned the name as full under family name instead of splitting it
I have sent an email requesting to send medical forms again with names corrected / updated as per UDR
I hope to receive the revised Meds today/tomorrow insha Allah
Let's see when my luck works....
Waiting for it again even I received it....
But again thanks to Allah Bari to aayee....:)

When u had requested for GCMS? Is it productive? shall i send GCMS request now?

I had both in my GCMS "S19(1) & 15(1)" but received MR so I hope this is not a critical thing...
soon you will hear good news insha Allah...

What do you think that might be the reason that it's taking so long fir your background checks

Allah knows my friend. I have no clue on this. But there should be some time frame as to completion of these checks. Not a life long exercise.

My relative who works in FIA told me that whenever they get this b/g check/security check request, they give the clearance in 8-10 days max....so it doesn't take 1-2 years....this reply is rubbish yar...there is no such thing as a 1 year bacground check!! How come BG check of only one group (oct 2012) is taking so long, and all the rest r clear?? Not like oct 2012 udr people r criminals.....if they had such an elaborate international sytem, they would not be asking us for police clearance from every country we ve lived in :) they would ve simply gotten it themselves :) its just that your files have been put in some damn cupboard to which they lost the keys :) meaning, the whole OCT 2012 group is on delay, not just u....but PLZ, whenever they tell u BG check, just smile and say SURE :)

Told u, one of forum friends got the BG check reply even after PPR2 :) so this is just a copy paste reply, and It doesn't mean anything except "keep waiting and don't bug us"...

Just pray they open that damn cupboard where they ve put your group files....totally unfair...hope u get it soon..
I ve had a lot of international travel...and I know an oct 2012 udr guy who s never gone out of the city, yet he is waiting for MR...2calgary, mailed them after 9 months of MR and they sent him BG check reply....and after 4 hours he got PPR-1 :) how can his BG check get completed within the last 4 hours of the reply :) just pray your group 's turn comes soon...this BG check reply means one thing : "don't bug us"....

Hey All,

Have a question

some of you wait for 9 to 12 months after sending medical to get passport request.?

So of you wait for 3-4 months after medicals to get passport request.?

So are the background checks done before medicals or after?

Whats checks are done after medicals?

well said jimmy, as always, BG Check is nothing but Bu** S**it, they have already done with BG CHECK in 2012 before sending out the 6-12M letter and UDR request, so, any reply as BG still pending is just a reply to keep us shut up.
