My friends i think i am the only one on this forum who after receiving the UDR+18MONTH in March received request for updated PCCs in June which i forwarded them today. I have seen that either other members are receiving medicals or medicals+PCCs but my case is different. In their email they mentioned that after receipt of document give us time for 4 months to review it. So does it means that i will not get any thing now till 4 months over????? its getting very complicated why they cant do the criminal checks on old PCCs whihc i already forwarded them in June 2010 and what is the point of wasting the time again???? Its now getting very frustrated. :(

Immigration officers never see our compulsions, they simply through things and are moody guys , there is no reason for doing such things repeatedly, they just kill time and prolonging cases so as applicants scattered and withdraw cases.(kuch mar khap gaye to bhee acha hay un kay liye :))

Zuzanna, with your this reply, it is evident that you are not able to understand that 'selection of Egypt Air & refusal of child benefits option has nothing to do with cost.'

Calm down guys..

NN74 very respesfully... i believe there is no harm in getting a child benefits, it doesnt mean you are getting a burden on the economy, it is just like a medical privilage( health care) that you will getting from the government. Yes, if you are claiming unemployment then its a different story. Anyways still you need to file your taxes (international income) and register your child inorder to be in the system

no hard feeling plz, ur opinion may differ

thanks

I just happened to read your landing experience posted here. Thanks for sharing your experiencing. On one hand you are saying you took Egypt Air because of cost constraints and on the other hand you are saying you don't need any child benefits - a bit conflicting.

Following ones own religion and faith is most acceptable - should be by own choice too. You seem to be too concerned about your religion than anything else right up on landing. Try to have an open mind, try to use this good opportunity to understand and learn from all other religions too. I am not asking you to change your faith, but be open to the world and your thought process. It is not based on what name you call your God, it is by what good deeds you do to people around you throughout your life which determines your final destiny. Take care and all the best for your future in Canada.

In my opinion your comments about Egypt air cost is reasonable to some extent, but your apprehension that she is too concerned about religion is not decent.

However, please share your timeline, according to worthy SMSH excel sheet.

Dear all,

Finally I received the passport request for self & family via email. What can I say!!! I am in 7th heaven. I completed my medicals on the 23rd of June and was looking forward to an updated status. Till last evening there was no update on the online status. Just the usual we have begun processing your application so wasn't expecting anything soon.

I thank the almighty for this as he thinks I deserved this at this stage of my life. I am sure all of you too shall be blessed with good news soon. Because just as misery spreads misery happiness does spread happiness. For those who will be wanting to know my time line I would like to say it is already on the spread sheet.

Good luck to all of you.

Regards,
Smikri

Many many congratulations

Found a very informative Link....One time must have a look...
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/glossary.asp
for our satisfaction here are some definitions related to us.....

Eligible: To be eligible for something means to be qualified to participate or be chosen. ( So As per 6-12 months letter we are the chosen ones :))

Background check: A procedure to verify the medical, criminal and/or security background of visa applicants to ensure they are admissible to Canada. (which means nothing related to job verifications but exceptions can be there :))

So guys cool down, we are not like pre-2008 applicants and will have the visa soon or later, insha Allah....

The immigration officer knew that its another Asian coming for child benefits that's why he handed her the child benefit forms in the first instance

The pre 2008 cases were chosen one too that's why they were asked for updated documents, I was reading one applicant who even got request for medicals but was refused by this new law

Why you are you so hopeless? in conversations! Only. :(
Practically you have some hopes that's why you are wasting your time on this forum ;)
Brother everyone who is on the forum talk positive / negative looking for Visa in 1 day time...but we are stuck and it is beyond our control....
So please talk positive and encourage people as far as there is no official bad news for them...
I hope you will understand what I am saying...Again life is very short...If you can't give happiness to someone then please don't make people sad... and negative minded....
Bhai Jaan Canada walay koi meray uncle nahin hain...All applicants are in in process due to CIC own assessment and as per there regulations...
and As a proof many of 6-12 months waiters have already received the Visa and for sure they can't issue Visa Like Wandi The Cheez :)
Please accept my apologies in advance if you did't like my words...but in my opinion this should be the approach...
We can't make a decision on 1 or 2 examples that is the reason now we have the database for 6-12 waiters and evidence that cases are being processed but our turn will come sooner / later....
Keep your moral up....and feel stressed free always....we all know it is really hard thing to wait for something but in reality we have no choice....at this point...
Wassalam,
SMSH
