But I can see it very clearly that you are still conscious about it...You have corrected your screen name while quoting from Yukhan's and my statements while the original still reads something else...Don't worry...am just poking you! ;)

Hello all

Need your help. I received UDR along with 18months wait letter on May 7. I got married in 2012 and my wife is already a Canadian citizen hence not included in my application. Please tell me do I need to fill all the forms for her as well or a covering letter stating that wife is a citizen and not included in the application so the forms are updated only for the PA would suffice?

Your wife can sponsor u.....have u tried that

we are in the process of filing the sponsorship application. initially we dint go for it cuz spousal sponsorship from Pak is a terribly lengthy process and I was expecting my FSW to be finalized in reasonable time but now we are doing it as a fail-safe. right now my query is about the UDR. kindly advise.

News:
========
Unionized foreign services officers are returning to the negotiating table on Monday, June 3, following a request from the Treasury Board Secretariat, according to the Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO).

“Targeted withdrawals” of service will continue until the contents of the Treasury Board’s offer are known, the union said, but it plans to unilaterally suspend all withdrawals on May 31 as “a demonstration of goodwill and to foster a positive environment for talks” with the Treasury Board.

PAFSO members have withdrawn services this week in three international locations, and three geadquarters divisions at the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.

The affected missions and work units are: Manila, Cairo, Canada's Permanent Mission to the Organization of Amercian States in Washington, D.C., and the International Economic Relations & Summits Division, North America Policy & Relations Division, and Hemispheric Affairs Division in Ottawa.

In addition, all remaining PAFSO members are engaged in the eighth week of a work-to-rule campaign at headquarters and posts abroad.

The union has a strike mandate from its members, as 82 per cent voted in favour of job action after contract talks broke down on Jan. 31. It has been in a legal strike position since April 2.

PAFSO claims its members are paid between $3,000 and $14,000 less than counterparts in comparable occupational groups. It is seeking wage increases to allow them to catch up with other federal government professionals such as economists, commerce officers and lawyers.

I guess CIC shouldn't be affected being under purview on Ministry of Immigration Vs Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

You have to fill her form separately. Im0008 Background declaration

For the Generic Application its clearly stated you must provide details of each of your family member weather they will be accompanying you to Canada or not and those of your spouse who are not already permitted residents or citizens of Canada. this mean you will not put them in Generic Application form.

And Again you have to fill her IMM5406E (Family details form)

Badar

Just wanted to let you all know.

CSI response says "routine background checks are under-way and no further action required on my side. " No timeline mentioned of these checks completion.

My application e-case status has no change (no addition of medical received which was done on 11 Apr). I think update of status has no hard and fast rule to be followed.

Lets hope for the best very soon (inshAllah).

Mine is still not appearing . Medical done on 11-APR-2013 . I have written CSI on the same subject. Lets see what LVO says.

By the Grace of Almighty got our PPR this afternoon from LVO. Passports to be submitted at Abu Dhabi Visa Office within next 30 days. This request came after a wait of 7 months & 15 days after completing medicals. As per the mail, the visa expiry will remain as one year from date of medicals in spite of this delay.

I had sent my first CSE to LVO last week explaining my current situation and requesting for case status, to which I got a response within 3 days. It is the same officer who responded to my CSE who has now send me the PPR. I wonder if my CSE triggered the quick action on my case by the officer. I thank you all for your prayers and encouragement.

congrates ASK finally........if you are in UAE , you will get PP stamped in 2 days......

All the best
