Hi, ALL AOA,

I am writing my individual experience and want to share with you guys. it is my individual experience & i am not saying that " Do not come to Canada"

I landed in Calgary on 4th April. In 10 min i was out of the airport as all the process completed in fast. Now i am in Toronto. What i observed that its not worth to leave the Pakistan ( Specially if you have a job) and family. Here In Canada No jobs. So i planned to move back to home country at least i have respect there and doing respectable job.

I met several people. 1% are chances to get the jobs in area of interest/education. Otherwise people specially from Pakistan are doing " Security jobs available on & off not permanently, General labour jobs ( In factory & In warehouse) some get the jobs in coffee shops like "Tim Horton" "subway".

Yes if you have Canadian education & Canadian experience you will get the most respectful job with in a month within your area.

So please do come to Canada but not with the high hopes like me.

Expenses : Minimum Rent for 1 bed room if you stay in basement " is 750$. if you stay in apartment. 1 bed room starts from 1000$ in Toronto & 1150$ in Calgary . grocery 250$. Bus pass or travelling exp near 120$. mobile connection 25-40 $. Please do arrange your stay before coming to Canada. Basements and Apartments are very hard to find. Electricity bill around 40$. internet & cable near 40 to 60 ( I am not sure).

One disadvantages of living in basement that you people wont find peace in your life. Cause your time will pass by hearing first floor sounds in your ears as houses are made with woods.

I share best possible with you.

Dear Aadil1234,

You are painting a very grim picture of Job market in Canada.

Can you tell us what is job market for IT/Telecomm professionals and would they recognise degree and International Certification from USA/UK/Europe.

regards
UZB

Well all this is quite obvious and most of the people following this forum are well aware of situation that exists in Canada. Moving to a entirely new place means new people, new rules of life and new laws. So one must have to abide by all these in order to survive and thrive.

For those immigrants who have enough savings that they can survive for 1 year without job should get admission to any short diploma / certificate to get Canadian education first hand. After finishing certificate and diploma there are certain programs where internship in provided. So this will be good kick start to get first hand Canadian experience.

But if someone is already landing on borrowed money and is committed to pay back soon, would be in great trouble unless he compromise on survival jobs.

Thanks aadil for sharing your experience

We really need to prepare very very well for all such consequences
