A forum member sent this to me:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/2013-01-29.asp

My thoughts were:
those offices were shutting down (processing wise), like our ISB office was shut down....that's why files were shifted.....and those offices r mentioned by name....and we know London vo will NEVER shut down, since its one of their TOP MAIN offices which handles FSW for about 25 countries!! So this news does not give anything concrete about 'LVO applicants file shifting'.

But let's see ...

Jimmy ... from the following link I've found one clue related to this activity. Pasted below and highlighted the area as well

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/2013-01-29.asp

January 29, 2013 — Effective January 29, 2013, the Visa and Immigration Sections at the Canadian Embassy in Caracas and the Canadian Consulates General in Detroit and Seattle are closed. In addition, the Visa and Immigration Section at the Embassy in Washington, D.C. will have some services transferred to other offices. Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is making changes to the way it operates in Canada and abroad. It is stepping up the pace of modernizing the way it works.

Closures to our operations network are not simply a matter of achieving savings; they are also a result of the transformative change that is taking place in program delivery. For example, online submission of applications for temporary resident lines of business is now available and makes it possible to move processing to where capacity exists. By centralizing some of this work, we can reduce our overseas network with a view to better focus programs and services, streamline internal operations, transform the way we do business and achieve better results for Canadians. The decision to close this visa office is tied to that strategy.

Persons who have already submitted applications do not need to do anything. Their files will continue to be processed. People who are submitting new Temporary Resident applications should do so online. Persons applying for Permanent Residence should continue to submit applications to the centralised offices in Canada, unless otherwise directed by CIC.

Again..these r 'clues', nothing 100% ....since LVO is not mentioned by name anywhere...let's leave it bro....we cannot believe anything, until we have some CONCRETE wrtitten thing about LVO applicants.

P.s: all of a sudden I had this vision of "our file being Raj Kapoor" from the 50s indian film 'Awara', walking on the street singing the Mukesh song "awara hoon, ya gurdish mein hoon aasman ka tara hoon" :)

Dear All.

I know no one will comment on my post even then posting my new e-cas status. Hope it will be shocking for 6-12 months wait letter holders.

We received your application for permanent residence on May 10, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on October 20, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the Paris (Just this morning it was London) office. They are pending review.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on April 30, 2012.

It means disappearance of my E-cas was not a server error, there was some sense behind
