Notice – DNA Sample Collection Pilot Project
June 21, 2013 — Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) launched a pilot project in India (outside of New Delhi only) on May 17, 2013 to assess using the Panel Physicians network to take DNA samples, when required. Please take note that effective today, this project pilot is now being extended to New Delhi. DNA samples are sometimes used to establish a genetic link between parent and child for citizenship proof applications for children born through surrogacy. Panel Physicians are the same doctors currently authorized to conduct immigration medical examinations for CIC.

After the six-month pilot, CIC will assess the feasibility of using Panel Physicians to do DNA testing for citizenship proof applications for persons born in other countries.

If you never have your CAIPS before then you may not supply the "Client ID Number". Leave it blank. For file number, Yes, write the same filenumber that you've.

And visa office location is "London Visa Office"

Akbar Sab, I consider it positive response and specially you got reply by visa officer. The word is in-progress not outstanding.

I've very strong feeling that all applicants who sent UD in October/November will have medical in July. I already gave my words on forum and now again telling you. Be ready for medical Insha'Allah

Canadian Immigration Questions and Answers with Attorney David Cohen
JUNE, 2013

QUESTION: I heard that some Canadian diplomats abroad are currently on strike. Will this affect my immigration application?

ANSWER: The Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) website states that “The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union is currently taking strike action. PAFSO union members responsible for processing visa applications have been walking out of offices in Canada and overseas.” The website further states that “Anyone applying for a visa should anticipate delays and submit their application as far in advance as possible.” These statements seem to indicate that there will be delays in the finalization of immigration applications, however it is not clear how long these delays will be.

first of all thanks for sharing the news links, however one thing that is positive that I noticed; the strike started on 2 April but I received updated docs(18M) on 26 April, means they are still working even though they are on strike, that's a good news :)
