@ OmMona,
As per your CAIPS, they received UDR 103, in March 13, after that they have started SecDEC (security screening, which is normally taking 3-6 months. your BFD is also after 3 months.
It is clear indication that now your turn is near. as soon as they will get result of security screening from FOSS, you will get PPR1 Inshallah. Wish you good luck and early processing. NEEOL
@ NEKEOL, Thanks for your comments, but how can you tell that they started my security screening?
Cheers

Thanks SMSH for your comments. I applied for my CAIPS on 28th May 2013 and just got it this morning
After getting some advises from friends here in the forum, I applied after the latest BF's date which was 27th April (after 60 days of the UDR)...so I decided to wait one more month and apply again. hope this help to decide when to apply for your CAIPS.

I just got my CAIPS and the following noted (As I promised many of you to share it ...here it goes)

PSDEC:1
SELDEC:4
PAPER FILE SENT TO PA FILE BF'D TO: BZ2 on 22-08-2013

in my latest CAIPS dated 21-3-2013 it was written like the following
PAPER FILE SENT TO BZ1 FILE BF'D TO: BZZ on 27-04-2013
Another thing is that they have noted the receipt of my latest updated document as following:
P103 ATTACHMENT RECEIVED ON 21 MARCH 2013. DOCS PA'D TO FILE
Bxxxxxxxxxxxx AMF 25-MAR-2013
Bxxxxxxxxxxxx DRD 03-MAY-2013

Theses are the only new things I've noticed in my CAIPS. Let's wait and see what 22nd Aug will bring to us.
Wish you all the best
@OmMona, After getting UDR, they have to start actual processing for MR Security etc. if they are not asking UDR means still out of queue. if u order GCMS now, you will find some lines added after Admissibility subactivty as Security screening Inshalla.

The complete process can be done online now :)

if you know someone in canada then it's very cheap and easy. Just following below steps.

Below is the online form to order the initiate ATIP request a.k.a caips/Gcms notes request.

https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/

You need to fill consent form/signed it and send to your friend who will attach the form in online request.

Consent form link :

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/form-imm5744.asp

i have done this myself via my friend and now waiting for caips result
+1 for you

The form at this link: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/ should be filled by the relative, on behalf of me. Right?

Indicating an e-mail address will authorize all correspondence, including file and personal information, to be sent to the e-mail address provided.

Here, my relative would provide my email address. Right?

Regards,
Sohaib

Once again, many thanks for your comments. So, do you recommend ordering GCMS now? Does it affect my processing time if I ordered it now?
Thanks

Hi SMSH,

I advise you to apply for your CAIPS by mid of July. By this time the officer got enough time to enter at least some info about receipt of your UDR.
As you can see , there were no activity on my file except on 25th March and then on 3rd of May...nothing after that.
All the best

25 June 2013 - The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers will picket the Prime Minister's Office
Members of the Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) will hold a picket on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. in front of the Prime Minister's office at the Langevin Block, on Wellington Street between Elgin & Metcalfe. Mr. Tim Edwards, president of PAFSO, will be available for media interviews.

"This picket is meant to stress to the Prime Minister our deep frustration with the Government's lack of meaningful engagement in contract negotiations," said Mr. Edwards. “Resolving this situation would cost less than 2.5% of the total Foreign Service payroll – a tiny fraction of the continuing economic fallout which the Government's inflexibility is creating.”

The main issue at hand remains PAFSO's request for equal pay for equal work. Specifically, Foreign Service officers are subjected to a series of unfair wage gaps compared to other federal professionals performing similar or identical work. These include economists, commerce officers, policy analysts, and lawyers. PAFSO members have been without a contract since 2011 – this despite conceding to the Government's two key demands in January 2013.

As part of PAFSO's on-going job action, select members have this week withdrawn their services at Canada's missions in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Seoul, Jakarta, Bangkok and Washington. In addition, visa and immigration officers have withdrawn their services at missions in Delhi, Chandigarh, Bogota, and Sao Paolo.

"The Government's refusal to update a pay offer which has been on the table for 20 months has forced us to escalate job action measures to a level unprecedented in PAFSO's 46-year history,” added Mr. Edwards. “We will keep up the pressure until the Government recognizes the tremendous value and dedication Foreign Service officers offer to Canada's taxpayers and elected representatives."

A recent open letter to Prime Minister Harper from Canada's Foreign Service officers is available here:

http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/tim-edwards/canadian-diplomats-strike_b_3443420.html?utm_hp_ref=tw

Dear Prime Minister,

We are Canadian Foreign Service officers.

We don't do it for the paycheque, but because we want to serve our fellow citizens. We do it because of a deeply rooted commitment to Canada's possibilities. Like you, we work to represent the interests of Canadians every day.

We champion our agricultural, resource, manufacturing, and service exports so that we can create more jobs at home. We promote democracy and the rule of law so that others can enjoy the rights and freedoms we hold dear. We work with allies and partners to reduce the illicit trade of narcotics and firearms so we can keep Canadian streets safe. And we help shape Canada's workforce and cultural fabric by deciding who is welcomed to our shores.

We are not of the left or the right; we are public servants working for all Canadians. We are Canada's face and frontline abroad, available 24/7, and we do our job with professionalism and dedication. We work long hours, sometimes uncompensated. We are frequently separated from our loved ones and often live in places much more dangerous than Canada. We do it all because of our conviction that Canada can make a difference in the world.

We do not want to be on strike. Challenging our own government goes against our very nature as diplomats and disrupts our ability to get things done for Canadians. We recognize that everyone must do their share in these tough economic times, and we have accepted your main contract demands. This is not about diplomats getting a raise. This is about us catching up to what other government professionals are already paid. This is about equal pay for equal work. And this is about fairness, a fundamental Canadian value which we protect and promote every day overseas - a value we simply want applied to us by our own employer.

Please let your Foreign Service get back to work, doing what we do best: building a more prosperous, secure, and diverse future for Canada.

Respectfully,

Tim Edwards, President of PAFSO
