Thoz who got 6-12 months wait letter

Normally, when we receive updated doc/ MR, CIC may ask about the PoF. They also require justification of any unusual deposit.

Can anybody please tell me "what is unusual deposit means"? i mean how much amount fall in this unusual deposit

Dear jimmy, Slightly differing with you - to be precise 107k. So in 2013 55K by Dec 2013, and for 2014 again say 55K, means it will take Dec 2014 (not June 2014) to clear all the back log.

Also differs with you - you answered FunWar for his/her 18 mo letter that its not correct. I feel that, it could be right as LVO might take more time for re-assess cases (may be he falls in that category) and it would take Aug 2014 to get final decision.

I'm not sure on this..so could be wrong...but here s my understanding:

Since ALL pre-feb 2008 cases have been refused/closed...so those cases r finished and done with....

the Backlog that kenny talks about NOW is the working inventory , which includes:

1. Few pre-feb 2008 cases who got into processing before 29th March 2012.
2. MI-1
3. MI-2
4. MI-3

The total of all these 4 are 100,000 FSW applicants....(as in number of people, not applications)

I think what Kenny is saying is , that we will clear these 100,000 people, before giving visas to MI-4 applicants in June 2014...(Coz MI-4 applicants, if thet get visa in one year, it will be June 2014).....so what I expect is , Kenney plans to finish these 100,000 applicants by June 2014....

So backlog means : all pending cases (MI-1, 2 , 3)

This is just my understanding...others can comment/differ...

Wat u re saying makes sense...I said 'june' 2014 , as an approximate month, as I don't know which month will MI-4 get visa in....I just meant, according to kenny, they might clear backlog before issuing visas to MI-4 (whichever month of 2014 that might be)

keeping the 55K/year quota in mind, there is a possibility it could go to end of 2014....

my point was to MAINLY tell kkhan wat backlog is....and I ve been saying this since 1 year, that "NOT everyone will get visa in 2013....some will get it in 2013, and some will go to 2014".....exact month of backlog clearing, no one knows.

As for funwar, the mail could be true ...even the 18 month wait part could be true... but his application date info is mixed up and not matching....anyhow, I wish him all the best...

I hope you are right the only thing which bothers me is the statement issued by Mr. Kenney that the backlog will be cleared at the end of 2014 before EOI starts and we know that we are last batch of the applicants but one thing I am not sure that do we fall in the backlog applicants or not, does any one can clear this if we fall in the backlog definition

Also notice he sent full docs after 5 months and 7 days of the (4 month) 120 days dead line he s saying he got 1st AOR in april 2010, and sent full docs in Sep 2010. Basically after 157 days, instead of 120 days.

And no MI-1 EVER in the history of MI-1,2, 3 has got "in process with date" on the same day as his full docs r submitted.

So either its an ecase error OR mr FUN-WAR is trying to have some 'fun' and start a "war'

I will not believe any such member who just has 1 post...no offense..

Let some senior/trusted forum member (like zeeshan, arsh, smsh , mian g, eemo, dest canada, sama 2010, 2 calgary, Gillani, hinna jamal, kkhan etc ) get such mail to believe it....

P.s: guys, let's not panic....we will get a lot of these "scary news" before the ACTUAL thing happens....so let's wait for official news to ourselves or senior forum memebers...or official website.....let's not react to every thing/everyone....jo hona hai, wo to hona hai....so let the news come to us and we ll find out !!!

He is not giving any justification for late submission. I submitted updated docs in Nov 2012 and then two follow ups & last requested docs submission on 21st Dec 12. Sent email query and received reply that Background checks in progress. Does not make sense to me as some slip ups in information. Good Luck to all and only available option is " SABAR ". Pray for each other.

Hmmmm....decision is not final till PPR2....

So u sent full docs on 30 Nov 2010.....that means updates have started....

So, finally we know now...that the 18 month part is correct...!!!! Hmmmm....Well.....atleast updates have started for rest of the waiters....and its still LVO ....don't know wat else to say.....

if u copy paste received eamil then we can better assess wat does they mean by no final decision.................in letters from CHC usually they wrrite that decision is not final till issuance of visa just to aviod people to take any immedicate decision regarding job leaving or property selling or ticket booking etc etc........so i think no worries. this 18 month waite seems they have made a general leter for all waiters bcoz they will issue visas to half in 2013 and other half in 2014 so to keep CSQ(s) to minimum they made this 18 month waite letter.

wesy 18 months waite letter is a BIG LOLYPOP to all waiters ....... to keep them silent...............asking update doc time limit is 60 days and waite is 18 months.....dont know its typo mistake by LVO or reality.

It's not just the visa it's too many things involved like Change of plans for income like sticking to the same job with low pay, maintaining idle funds in the bank, cannot take major decisions for the next 18 months it is really frustrating now.
These updates mean nothing after a year they will again ask for updated documents and the game will go on and on.
In my case I was thinking about quitting my present job and moving to some other place or starting my own business and now again I will be stuck for another 18 months with low pay

I was in Dubai yesterday and saw lot of updates about news of 18 months...
Nothing to worry about and we must believe if few people of our list get this kind of email and this kind of time could be 18 months in total instead of 12 months in past. May be we need to have official letter / email here on this forum from minimum 3 people to believe because if does not make sense to ask for updated docs and wait for 18 months....so insha Allah Most of us will have good news in year 2013 itself but do not worry as Jimmy has already explained this in details.
Think in general kits hamari koi dushmani hai Canada say Jo hum ko further Latka diya jaye for another 18 months my opinion this is not possible but we will come to know about reality in next few weeks or max by Apr/May 2013
