No news is good news keep hanging on, this frustration is killing us, 6 months have passed since the wait letter, but there is one thing which is confusing from the fact that "your file is waiting to be reviewed" as mentioned by mech which is the answer to his/her CSE recently but I think the file is already reviewed as the GCMS notes shows so what is this "Review" again then

It seems a yesterday we received the 6/12 months though 6-months have elapsed. Likewise, we would receive MR soon. They have issued the letters to clear the backlogs by dividing the applicants as per priority based on points probably.

With all due respect, I don't think it has anything to do with how many points u scored. I see people with 73 points with wait letter. Whereas, people I know who got 67 and 68 points got medicals SIMPLY coz they applied 8-10 months before us and sent FULL docs in 2009 or first half of 2010, before june 2010.

Cock n bull (a senior member and a good friend) thinks "people who r pending (with or without wait letter), are the ones they have doubts about being genuine. I personally don't belive that that too. People who they did not belive or had doubts, they simply could ve rejected them by the good old "jd mismatch"...they don't have that much time to review and further reveiwe again, as they do not spend too much time on one file...and LOTS have people who gotten wait letters, even people from UK, middle east and europe....

I simply think its an administrative thing.... LVO was forced to give all applicants a decision because of that famous Tim Leahy case, as 1000 applicants sued the immigration dept for making tham wait without any decision, and asked for compensation...the court denied their demand for money compensation, but ordered the immigration office to give every one a decision, either a yes or a no, ....THIS IS A FACT, not a theory

Hence everyone got a decision in March-May 2012....some got jd mismatch rejection, some got medical, but there were some who although were a yes, still had not completed the processing time of 2 years from full docs by that time and could not have been given medical. MY THEoRY is , I think this is when they 'invented' this wait letter.

Technically, if the wait letter did not exist, we would ve been simply waiting by now, and would ve gotten medicals directly after 2-2.5 years, like the people who applied in 2009 got medicals in 2012 directly. So this wait letter is just a thing Lvo had to do to show to the court that "Abbu jee, as per your order, we have "processed/given decision" to ALL applications and have finished our job" !!!

Baat wohi baat hai...this is all MY THEORY (part about Tim Leahy court case is a fact though).....jitnay moon, intee batein....no matter what I say, or what anyone else says, the ACTUAL amswers will come in a few months, and then all these specualtions/tukkas will be over....abhi its just playing time so keep those tukkas coming time pass he sahi

well said dude, apart from one point that i would view differently and that is, none of the visa office logically should keeps our file on hold just to pass a certain time frame as you mentioned (2-2.5 years), i don't think its logically / professional to not issue visa to some applicant only because their files have been reviewed positively and determine eligible for further processing, my prospective on why you got wait letter rather prompt MR this is "PRIORITY" or "Visa Quota for" MI-2 & MI-3 applicant are far more worthy as per DON Kenny hence simply they are swiftly getting decisions, it could be 5(MI-2&3) to 1(MI-1) policy for the time being to issue MR, its completely my assumption.


BUT, for god sake leave the discussion of rejection and second time review, those hurdles are long gone and over, we have received a letter that is NOT called wait letter rather it should be called "positive eligibility selection" letter and it MEANS we are not rejected rather selected but as VO have priority on processing MI-2/3; they will issue us MR but tad late, that's all, so don't bring up the same questions again and again, we are all mature and professionals here.

by the way, i know your mind the reply to your inquiries means NOTHING cause they just copy paste standard reply that your file is waiting to be reviewed, i have read several times in this forum that even after sending passport people get same reply if they make inquiries.

so relax and enjoy the waiting, we all inshallah will get MR within 12 months, cause 6 months gone but only 6 to go , its not a lot of time, absorb the THRILL!!! ENJOY!!!

As per this law, they felt we are very well settled, both economically & professionally, and there is no hurry to give us immigration, so they put us in the 'waiter group' ;D
