Well, I think that whatever money you are carrying with you is non taxable. If you receive any monies later, it will be taxable....but not sure......that's my guess......but it's a good point you have raised.....seniors/experience members, kindly reply......btw can we show cash in goods to follow list....although it says "Goods" but still a query....

Dear Suleman

You need to carry all sum that is required at POE as proof of funds.
Amount carried at first entry is not taxable , where as later remittances are taxable

My friend , who has completed his landing last year , is now landing to settling in end of July 2014.
He is transferring a decent sum , I am waiting him to give me feedback over this issue
His feedback will be accurate

i got info from a reliable source that the amount which you will transfer is not taxable and only the amount which we will earn in canada is taxable. So interest received on transfered amount is taxable not the transfered amount.

We will wait for MSaeed info for further confirmation.
