Yes i am also stuck in Eligibility Review from past 10 months. applied GCMS all is Passed .. Criminality , Medical , Assessment All Passed since last year Dec. but eligibility in review and there is no news since Mar 2017 , Medical was extended by CIC in Mar. 2017 till Mar 2018 after reassessment.
But After that there is noting happend on my file and waiting ... currently 15th Month Going on since AOR (2nd Aug. 2016) My Background is NA since Dec. 2016
its good to hear that i am not all alone in this race.. :p;)
Is there any blanked out sections in your notes? and do you have other requirements?

Thanks Rizwanrazzaq,
What if they do not ask us to re-do or extend medical ????
Do they inform us that our medical has been extended by them ???
They will ask you to re-do your medical if it is required. As far as I know, you can get the status of your medical extension from gcms notes, they do not inform the applicants whether the medical has been extended or not.

Hi,
I am CEC Feb 01 2017 applicant. My eligibility is still "Recommended Pass". Medical and Criminality both "Passed" and Security "Not Started".
My Medical is expiring in first week of January.
Does anybody know when do i need to take the medical exam again ? I mean do they ask me to do it again ? or they will automatically extend ?

One more thing,
What could be the reason behind my application for not having any process since april month. I have ordered 2 GCMS notes and there is no progress since april. Even my Security is still "Not Started". I am at NA2 since 9 months. Back -Ground is still "Not Applicable".

Your Answer will be really appreciated.
Thanks.
Most of the Outlands will get re-medical request once the profile is nearing completion. So don't worry and wait for IRCC to either extend your medical or let them contact you to do re-medical. I will suggest send an email by Dec-2017 to request for medical extension.
Regarding delay, please raise CSE (Case Specific Enquiry) with IRCC and wait for them to reply. You are yet to pass your Eligibility and unfortunetly you are stuck at a lazy or extremely busy case officer.
All the best!!

Thanks for the reply. I ordered another set of GCMS notes on 8th Nov 2017. Hope to see some progress this time.

Hi guys,

Wanted to bring my case to everyone's notice.

My EE application was refused stating that I do not meet the fund requirements. The officer has mentioned about my Balance in Savings account and my PF account. He has not mentioned anything about my fixed deposit which consititutes about half of my fund requirements. The bank statement clearly mentions about my FD and even in my LoE I had explained all the 3 sources of funds. If the FD is included the total funds is about 1000 CAD greater than what is required by CIC. My FD is not a long-term FD used for tax purposes. It is just a 1-year normal FD without any lock-in. Though it has a specific maturity date I can withdraw at any point in time, just that there might be an exit load of 1% or so.

The officer has just not mentioned anything about my fixed deposit at all. To just confirm that it is unencumbered there is a column that explicitly says 'Lien = NO'. So he either completely missed seeing it (or) he deliberately did not consider is as past of my PoF which would be quite strange as I haven't seen any rejections because of this.

I'm a AoR March 2017 FSWO applicant, Medicals passed. It's so disappointing to get a refusal 8 months after AoR. For now , I have raised a CSE explained in detail with references to the Bank's premature liquidation policy on Fixed Deposits and also re-attached the proofs and pointed to specific page numbers and transaction references to prove my case. Hoping that it will be reopened!

Anyone with a similar case as mine where you showed more than sufficient funds but still got refused or insufficient funds?

Oh My!! I am so sorry to hear about your case.. I feel your frustration. Waiting for 8 months is no joke then ending up like this is just so bad! CiC should have at least informed you earlier if there are some issues with your file and not letting you wait this much.

Fixed Deposit is an acceptable POF that has been used by applicants for a long time. It might be that the officer didn't include the FD in his assessment of your POF that is why you went below the limit. Visa Officers are always capable of committing human errors in processing of files and even CIC acknowledges this mistake..

If I may ask how did the officer calculated the exchange rate for your POF, did they calculate on the exchange rate at the time of your submission or the current exchange rate? because the rate of Canadian Dollar keeps on fluctuating nowadays.

What you did is right , send them emails and keep following up with them regarding your case and find out what was the issue in their assessment.. I hope they reverse their decision with the applications because we applicants have invested so much time , money and effort and it is just fair enough if they process our files in a more humane and considerate manner.

I wish all the best and hope you overcome this hurdle in your application, Don't give up and God Bless!

It looks like the officer used the current exchange rate. As far as I remember 1 CAD was ~ INR 49 at the time of my AoR and it is close to INR 52 now. The officer had used an exchange rate of 1 CAD ~ INR 51.xx (not explicitly mentioned by the officer, he just mentioned the INR and equivalent CAD amounts. I did the math). Even at the current exchange rates my settlement funds (if you include the FD) is CAD 1,000 more than the required funds per CIC. I had deliberately kept a significant buffer.

Thanks Ravelino. Have raised a CSE and also sent an email to CPC-CTD Ottawa with a detailed explanation. Hoping that it is convincing enough for them to reopen my application.

Happened with me. I had submitted 2 individual account details as my PoF, but the officer completely ignored my wife's account details and sent an update on our profile that we don't meet PoF criteria and had given us 30 days to revert with latest PoF or explanation letter regarding the same. We submitted CSE and explanation letter to Ottawa office and after few weeks officer replied all ok with PoF. Wasted my 1 and 1/2 months of processing time cause of this.

Oh my that's bad. In my case it's a straight refusal and the same has been updated in cic website agaisnt my app. Good that in your case the officer was considerate enough to give you time to revert with latest PoF. Can you tell me the approx time frame between when you raised the CSE with latest proofs and when your profile was reviewed and updated as ok for PoF? You app timelines and current status will also help, if I may ask

Thanks for the info Shri. Didn't know that your app has been SS. First, the PoF goof-up from the officer and then SS. How many such hurdles to cross!!!

I have been waiting for PPR request since past 1 year, sent CSE to the new delhi visa office, got the following response on oct' 3 2017- after which they asked me to get my medical done again as it expired on Oct' 17. Submitted medical again. Any hopes? Medical of my husband is expiring in Jan 2018. Shall I just drop the plan and consider AUS as an option. i feel sad and helpless.
