Hi Guys,

My Security Screening started last May, and I have sent an ATIP request to CBSA to get an update on my file status. The ATIP officer got back to me and said that she is not in a position to provide me with an update on my SS. I then asked for notes from CBSA and she told me that they are going to be duplicates of what I received earlier from IRCC, since both organizations access the same GCMS notes.

How come on this forum I always read about people getting their CBSA and CSIS notes through ATIP?

These organizations only provide you with the information when they are done with your SS. So, you will not get any details other than the started date and the date completed.
In this forum there are so many cases they got the ATIP from CSIS stating that the SS is completed from their side. Also, some cases they were in-touch with CBSA through the local MP and they got the update from CBSA.

Hope this was helpful.

Hi friend, just for your reference, I am in same stage but I have been waiting for almost 14 months. Wish you good luck to get out of this stage soon.

Unfortunatly they can reject any time for any disfonctionnailty on the application :(

Well what's weird about my case is that a few days before the request I was told by an agent over the phone that I should be expecting PPR soon, as my background check wasn't an "in-depth" one and wouldn't take long. Also in the information they've requested, they've asked me about what company I would work for if I went back to my home country. I'm applying for pr of this country, why would I want to go back and work? Anyhow, I'm gonna continue my wishful thinking that this will all be over soon.

after 14 months if someone has passed eligibility, medical and criminality then the chances are very low to get rejected during security screening.

Medicals Not Needed

Hey guys, I need advice, opinions.
Our 2nd medicals expired this month and today myCIC was updated and "Medical Exam" field now says "You do not need to pass medical exams". AOR Jan 2016.

Has anyone had this message? Is it a good sign or bad? I'm totally confused.
Any opinions are welcome!

Help!

I am trying to create an Express Entry profile. But the link is not available. I had the same issue last year and it turned out that because there is already a Permanent Residence application linked to mycic account, the system does not allow adding another permanent residency application. So I had to unlink the existing pnp PR application from mycic account first so that the link for express entry becomes available.

However, I cannot find the button on the page to unlink the pnp pr application anymore. Does anyone know how to deal with this issue? Please and thank you.
