I have been waiting for 250 days (8,33 months) after my AOR (12 October 2016).
Security screening since 25 January (almost 5 months!).
EE Provincial nominee, inland, profession university professor NOC 3011, with family (wife + 2 children).
This is insane.
This is not acceptable.
This is not reasonable.
your job is pretty good and why they make it so slow.....

436 Days (or 14 months and 10 days) since AOR..........
No PPR yet. still waiting.......................

I am :

CEC inland
ITA Mar 9 2016
AOR Apr 9 2016
Security in progress since Sep 2016
Criminality in progress since Apr 2016 (as I couldn't obtain the country's PCC. It's been more than 1 yr since I applied the PCC but no answer from the government. INSANE!)
Eligibility passed
Medical passed

I ordered GCMS several times, but all the security info was erased so I couldn't get any information about it.
I assume the reason why my application delayed is 1. Served Military 2. Work history where countries in war..

Anybody who has similar timeline to me?
I got AOR on Sep,2016. I checked my CGMS note and it shows my criminal started on Sept,27,2016, and it was still in progress until March,20,2017. I don't understand why.

Dear all,
I got my golden email today after long waiting of 1 Year and 2 months.
Wishing all the best to everyone who are waiting for long time.

Regards,

Frank
congrats man!

Perhaps we should open a tracker for security screening applicants, to compare timelines, like they have it for ppr. Is that possible?

which program did you apply? I applied with LMIA and this is my 9th month.
I applied through CEC with LMIA.
if you passed everything and your status of security/criminality in progress then you need to lay-
back and wait specially if you traveled and worked in many countries.

Regards,

Frank

Hang on there...they are just making sure you are not the next John Wick or Edward Snowden.
Hope you get your PPR soon!

I believe your PPR is a matter of when not if- your patience shall soon be rewarded.

Hello All,
After 14 months I finally got the passport request today.
Bests of luck to everyone else.

I didn't receive anything in mycic, just received an email. Is this common?

Yes that is common. Congrats btw!

Guys please advise if anyone or you know anyone who got stuck in PNP secure outstanding group (never ending security check) and got their PPR eventually. I'm about to completw my 10 months period after AOR and still no sign of PR. Today I called them ciz theres been some changes in ny cic profile and they said officer has extended my medical for another year and they're still waiting for security results. I'm just wondering whats the waiting period liks for pnp inland applicants.

There is a separate thread for PNP Secure Outstanding group.
Hope it helps.

your job is pretty good and why they make it so slow.....

Because they don't care who you are and what you do. For them you are just a number. Just like the other numbers. :)

Just when you think you close enough VO puts you in another testimony.
After 8 months waiting VO requested remedicals but strangely only for my 2.5 yrs old boy and spouse.
For me not requested i do not know what is he trying to do any gusses panel?

Hopefully it should be a good sign not sure though GCMS applied a month ago no update on them.Anybody can put a light on this.

Thank you

Hi,

Can someone who contacted CBSA help me. Its been over a year since my AOR and my BG has been in process since Sept 2016 (security screening).

I decided to contact CSIS and CBSA as they are the 3rd parties responsible for completing my background check.

I contacted CBSa using Access to information act, but they replied the below:

" Please specify the records you are seeking. If you are seeking the status application then CBSA would not be the Agency to contact. We would suggest that you reach out to IRCC in order to get the status. If this is not the info you are seeking then please specify what you are seeking."

What should i reply? Is it okay to ask them the status of the background check, if they have completed it?

Thanks!
