16 months completed today..... The never ending wait is killing me..... Don't know what to do. Whom to ask.

My life has come to a standstill for the last 16 months. At this point I don't even care if my application is rejected. Atleast I will get some clarity and I can think about doing other things.

My professional and personal life, which were completed dependent on this PR has been in shambles.

I don't care if I get a PR now or no. All I want is the damn decision....arghhhhhhhhhhhh

It is really unfortunate the way they deal with application when they get past the stated time.

Did you consider taking any legal help for asking them to make a decision?

Successfully completed 1 yr of waiting.... hail SGVO...no response of email and even cse...medical expired and status changed from passed to not needed on 31st Jan.. yet no request...

i feel you here. it is exhausting as hell. the worst part is that as far as i can see most of us, who have these long waiting times, are stuck with BGC, which due to its secrecy is kinda impossible to influence. I tried MPs but even they were brushed off with a simple reply that BGC was in progress.

In the GCMS notes I received in December I have Eligibility: Passed; Medical Passed; Criminality: Passed and Security is blank...

I called CIC regarding my application, as it has been submitted since 10/5/2016. They informed me that everything is OK, except security check which is still in progress. The guy told me, there is nothing we can do as it's related to CIC. He told me security check has been in progress since august

So, how long can this security check last ?

I am in a similar situation, submitted 19/5/2016. Called CIC too, agent told me my file has been transferred from Accra VO to London VO. From my GCMS notes, security was pending since August 2016, other stages were passed. I am hopeful PPR will land soon.

Sadly, there is absolutely nothing you can do at this point but wait. Lots of us who have been waiting for security check to finish have done everything possible to try and speed up the process (go back some pages on this thread and you'll see), but nothing works. It just has to run its course. I know that's not what you want to hear. Sorry.

There has to be some way right. I mean I am waiting for the last 16 months patiently. But they seem to not be bothered at all with my application. Something or somehow there must be a way. Meeting an MP, or suing CIC?
