Cheers,

Dear ladies and gentlemen, my forum friends, I literally thought I would never be saying this but it happened: I got my PPR! These were grueling 16 months of waiting, and I am so happy the end is near. Still have some hoops to jump through, with me now being pregnant, but finally there is a ray of sunshine.
Thank you all for all your support!

Finally, you got it! :) You don't have to threaten IRCC for a legal remedy now, at least. ;)

Big Congratulations! A much awaited and well-deserved PPR. So glad that your wait is over.

Wish you all the best for the rest of your journey and settlement.
Good Luck! : )

LOL! I was all fired up. Practically had the email all ready. I was just waiting for CSIS and CBSA reports, neither of which I've received as of yet, btw. Maybe it was telepathy at work while I was cursing them in my mind every single day :)

Thanks for you wishes. Good luck to you with everything!

Thank you, everyone! Wishing you all the best!

Congrats, Cookiedough12! We were both in luck today/yesterday!

heartiest congratulations to Cookiedough and Tocanadawego.
Your pprs definitely bring hope to the applicants like us who have been waiting for ages.
Wish you both the very best in future ahead

Is there any reason why applications are taking so long?

Hi, i used to work for the government, and that was the reason my application processing took forever.

Many many congratulations to you . I am very happy for you. My AOR is the same day as yours but I have still not got a response. However, you have re kindled my hopes.

May I please ask you one question. Did you get any ghost emails, any follow up anything at all. This will help me to know if the PPR will come unexpectedly for me or a ghost email will be a good sign .

There was no indication at all. Last I heard from them sometime in November when I emailed Ottawa and they said my application is still processing and not to write to them again as they will not reply. Not a peep since then, no changes to profile, no ghost emails. The PPR email just came out of the blue, totally unexpectedly.
So i guess you can expect that too. Good luck!

Thank you so much! It was excruciating to wait for this. But now, somehow, my steps are a little lighter :)

I hope you've settled in well in Canada.
