I have something similar.. It appears that candidates who get "security screening" as opposed to just "security" checks are bound to wait a longer time, as their files undergo a more in-depth security screening procedure.

WHAT ABOUT YOUR SPOUSE? ......is her security check passed?

I read some days ago, some in the forum has a similar case as mine, his/her spouse security check is pass while the other is still pending.

Hello,folks!

I'm FSW Outlander with Ottawa VO still waiting.

Bg in progress since 20th of July.

Called CIC a couple of weeks ago. A guy told me that my sevurity check is still going on and it is already completed for my wife. He very politely told me that he has to prepare me for the worst scenario. In case I have no email from CIC by the 10th of March 2017 then I can call them and they will have the power to influence CIC somehow. Until then no use bothering the call center.

That is it.

@yankabatkay, we have a similar situation, my is completed and my husband is still pending, IRCC is doing additional security check on the guys this days.

Canadian background check shouldn't take too long. This is probably the last step before an officer can review your file for finalization.

Guys, I have noticed recently Inland applicants with over 6 months of waiting have started receiving PPRs. Almost all of the recent long-awaited pprs were from inlands?

Do you see this pattern too?
