Info Sharing: Complete

Got Ghost Update / ADR Letter on 19th Feb 2019: They requested Supplementary Information Request for Students (SIRS) Form along with Resume. I really don't understand why they requested SIRS since I have not applied for student visa nor I am currently studying.

Also Background status changed to IP2 ( We are processing your background.......) on 19th Feb 2019

Uploaded the Additional documents on 21st Feb 2019, status as of now is " Not Applicable"

Called them on 18th March, agent told the below:
Eligibility: Still reviewing whether you meet the eligibility
Security: Background verification's are currently in process
Criminality: Completed

With the above timeline, am I under Security Screening?

Planning to order GCMS after easter holidays!!

Well, mine has been 8 months and 13 days and still haven't heard from them. All they say and the recording says that "background check has not yet started". I sent emails and all I get is "your application is in queue to be reviewed by an officer"

Please help/advise

Nope. Sitting Sweet in IP1 since early Dec.

I have a question for you. I read somewhere that we need to make our first entry post receiving PR, within a year from Medicals (I did mine in Nov).

What if I get my PR approved in August? Am I expected to drop everything and land there in a month? Is there an option of redoing medicals ?

I have read cases where people received PPRs even after medicals expired but they were still stamped visa on the passport. It is said that CIC had extended their medicals by a year inorder for them to do their landing.

They approved my case with one week remaining on medical. However they extended my medical by one year. Best of luck.

Just to compare notes, were you FSW_O India as well? What did your timeline look like? Any idea why it took them a year to process your PR?
