Guys plz dont get scared. I called CIC helpline today and agent told me if u dont hear from us till March 2017 then give us a call. lol i m out of frustration and anger now . My capacity is over now :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(



I checked with him if i can work for any employer and location with BOWP ? he said why not its an open work permit and ur all free to work anywhere for anyone

I think we got same guy he told me to call again if i dont hear anything till dec , this is frustrating

How many with everything cleared and stuck with security only?

Mine everything cleared, now suck with security (My security is just blank) & now my medical has expired too. I don't know if they gonna ask me to redo medical.

As i am inland applicant they might not ask me to redo medical as i have not felt the country for the past two years.

From my GCMS notes, I can see that they started my security check in late April. No update since then !!!!!

Mine security and criminality both is not started , and due dates on both is 21 aug 2016 lets see what they gonna do after that ...

i had seen so many time that due date in GCMS and its generally future date when we get GCMS notes. I have always hopped that i might get PPR by that date but none of them has worked so far for me.So that due date seems irrelevant to me. I hope that works for u

Mine all cleared but BG-In Progress since 13th Jan 2016. Last month request for new medicals which I submitted in 3-4 days....still BG-In Progress...completing 12 month mark Next Month....don't know what they want ...more than 7 months of BG Check and nothing we can do !!!

What is that which they are trying to find, which they couldn't find in such a long time. If this would have been normal processing and taken max time 6 months for PPR (i saw people getting in 2 months even first application) i would have got 2 times. But reality is that i haven't got even once.

More frustrating is that u dont know what they are looking for

Yup, my security also in progress since March 5 - still not done. I was asked to redo my medicals, although I explicitly asked them for extension. Got me annoyed: how many times do they want me to expose myself to unnecessary radiation from an x-ray. But whatever, I'm so far in the process now that it feel silly to quit. Yet waiting feels silly as well. They're definitely making us all feeling like idiots. Express Entry my a**. More like Express Entry for a number of lucky ones, the rest of you - good luck with the wait.

No idea, an applicant recently requested security check status update from the CSIS and was shockingly surprised that CSIS had already completed the security check (took around a month for them) and the report was already submitted to the IRCC months back.

So, what's the delay about? Nobody knows... I guess it's about IRCC's internal affairs and their own plans & priorities... also, there is something definitely affecting the processing times at the local visa offices level.

I'm sure for some it is. I sent a rather ranting email to Ottawa demanding more transparency, and they responded by saying that there is an unusually high number of security screenings (in my opinion, probably because of refugees), and therefore the process is taking longer than expected. They also said these things can be lengthy.
I suspect that it's not just up to them. If they're doing an extensive security screening (not just a check), then other countries might be involved too and their response is out of IRCC's hands.
