I feel for you mate, all going steady and then the roof falls in. CIC are probably asking for your daughters medicals as you are their next living relative after their Mother. If anything happens to her, the situation would probably be that your girls would come over here to live with you. My ex has a Daughter from a previous marriage and I was expecting something similar but she's 20 now and able to fend for herself.
If their Mother won't assist in getting the medicals it may be that if you haven't got anybody who can take them on your behalf, you may have to take a trip across the pond to Blighty to do it yourself.

Cheers mucker, I have had to see if my sister or my mother can pick my daughters up in the next two weeks to take them to Brentwood for this medical, im not bothered about the cost or anything like that but seriously, if they have the medical done now, and god forbid anything happened 2 years or more from now, what good is a medical now? Can they not get ill after this medical? Im sure its a way of messing the people about that do the process legally and do actually contribute to the economy! Its frustrating as by the time I got the details of the closest approved medical centre, it was 1030 alberta time so 1730 GMT, so what doctors is still open at that time but im sure CIC don't care about that ey!!

Trying to fathom CIC's thought process is beyond me but I look at it like this: If I get the medical school done now and nothing happens then all is good. IF something does happen, even 2 years from now, the process has already been put in the system i.e. Your daughters exist in the CIC data base. If your daughters are allowed to visit you here I imagine it will make it easier for them to travel to and from Canada. Best case scenario is they want to move here, then you've helped get them established.
Take a breath me old China, you didn't get where you are by getting flustered a the first hurdle( at least I hope not!). If your Sister or Mother can take them for the medicals, they have a clean bill of health then all that needs to happen is the Doc sends the paperwork and Roberts your Mums brother. What CIC are interested in is whether your Girls would be a burden on the medical world because of a long term illness, disability etc. It would be the same for any relative you wanted to bring with you.
I know it's frustrating trying to deal with this sort of thing when it's on the other side of the pond and there's a potentially unhelpful/disruptive element waiting in the wings(possibly?) but stay the course and you'll reap the benefits.

So, as a quick update, my ECAS has not changed, still 2 lines. My daughters in England have their medicals booked on Monday ad requested by CIC. I hope to see some more movement once the medicals are submitted? 8)

So my two daughters had their medicals in England on Monday 15th June, I have submitted their E-Medical details to my solicitor today for them to submit them to CIC. Anyone else had extra forms to submit? What happens when you submit them? Is it a quick response as CIC are now processing my application??
