Lots of people are getting their vacation day used before summer ends. Maybe that's why it was such a slow week.

Any PPRs or DMs last night people ? This looks like a slow week for May AORs.

Hello everyone.

I have applied for a BOWP at the same day I've received the AOR (May 8th). Today mycic was updated to approved, but I have not received any letter as yet. Is it really approved?

Here is my timeline:
Got FSW ITA Abril 17, 2015
Medical done April 23, 2015
App Submitted May 8, 2015
Received AOR May 8, 2015
Credit card charged May 11, 2015
Medical Exam Passed May 26, 2015
Background check in progress May 26, 2015
Ecas Changed to In Progress August 15, 2015

I left Canada because I had to restore my status therefore couldn't work, and now is it approved even though my work permit was expired? I am very confused in what to do now? Should I apply for a new visa and go back to Canada or wait for the PPR?

I got May 2 AOR, Aug 14 "in process" and still waiting (inland FSW).

Right now the priority seems to be: PNP>CEC>FSW(outland)>FSW(inland). I have seen people with June AOR in PNP and CEC program getting their DMs. For outland FSW, it seems to be 3-4 weeks faster then inland FSW due to less workload in oversea Visa offices.

There is no sequence of priority as you stated. It is all visa office and officer dependent. One thing for sure that CEC is taking shorter time to process than all other category. I am not sure how CIC will manage to process all these applications with kind of sluggishness they are showing at present. Nevertheless they have not stopped issuing ITA. I wont be surprised if they change their 6 months processing time to 10 or 12 in third quater of this year or beginning of next.

Do you have a decision on you BOWP?

You should wait for PPR and then your PR to come back and resume work. But MyCIC approval generally doesn't come before PPR (though, of course, anything is possible) and PPR often comes through regular email, not MyCIC. Be sure they have your correct email address so you don't miss the letter! Good luck and congratulations!

Yes, it's as approved on mycic. On the details it says that they will send a letter to my cic account which I haven't received yet, but the status is as approved.
Should I apply for a visa and come back to Canada or wait for the PPR? Or maybe do both and see which one comes first? Some advise please!

Hi,

ECAS still has only three lines, but:

Today I received a request to pay for RPRF and submit a travel history report for my wife and I. I always thought the RPRF was at the end of the process. Does this mean that I'm provisionally approved (given that they are asking for payment) but they want to confirm some travel information? Anyone else getting this with their RPRF payment request?

AOR was May 4, for anyone trying to compare timelines.

Could you please share your timeline?

You are getting closer. CIC does not ask your money with no reasons. Many other members have also been asked for travel information updates so it is normal.

2/23 - EE profile created
3/27 - CEC ITA (inland)
5/4 - Submitted/AOR
9/4 - Request for travel history + RPRF (ECAS still at three lines)

I don't know when my medicals passed or any ECAS changes (I don't check very often). It took a while for my medicals to pass, as I completed those virtually right before I submitted my application.

Right now it still says the background check and review of eligibility are in progress, the only change on mycic is that they need additional documents (travel history).

From what I saw on the April timeline, it seemed more that the whole system sped up or slowed down depending on load.

I have a May 1 AOR, and landed a little while ago. FSW, Inland.

Thanks for your info, kateg. I guess it's load-based. FSW have more applicants also with more complicated cases then CEC which I agree.
