ECAS Decision Made and NO PPR Express Entry Candidates Connect Here!!

Or just give it another week or two before doing that - there's a very high chance they'll receive their PPR in that time frame. For me - ECAS changed to DM on 9/17, but PPR wasn't sent until 9/25.

2/23 - EE profile created 3/27 - CEC ITA (inland) 5/4 - Submitted/AOR 9/4 - Request for travel history + RPRF (ECAS still at three lines) I don't know when my medicals passed or any ECAS changes (I don't check very often). It took a while for my medicals to pass, as I completed those virtually...

Those who got AOR in MAY lets network here>>>>>>>>>

Hi, ECAS still has only three lines, but: Today I received a request to pay for RPRF and submit a travel history report for my wife and I. I always thought the RPRF was at the end of the process. Does this mean that I'm provisionally approved (given that they are asking for payment) but they...

Previously LMIA exempt, looking at LMIA process

I thought there was an expedited version for higher wage earners, but maybe that's just an aspirational or for the other route. I'm a bit confused about the LMIA process since I am already in Canada in my current position of employment. Does my employer have to advertise for an equivalent...

Previously LMIA exempt, looking at LMIA process

For what it's worth, I called and they indicated NAFTA is exempt from the regular 4 year limits. This guy seemed to think it's indefinite (just keep renewing), although it took him a long time to come up with that answer. I'd prefer to get that in writing somewhere.

Previously LMIA exempt, looking at LMIA process

Thank you! Can you direct me to more information for the LMIA that can be used only for PR? I'd like to discuss this option with my employer. I don't need one for my work permit as I'm under NAFTA. I take it that having a positive LMIA at all is what earns the 600 points, not whether or not...

Previously LMIA exempt, looking at LMIA process

With the 600 points basically being a necessity at the moment, I need some clarity on how the LMIA process works. A few questions below: 1) Can you get an LMIA after already being in Canada with an LMIA exempt work permit? And keep your same position? 2) If I were to get my employer to go...

    USA police certificate

Our fingerprints were received on October 26th and our credit card was just recently charged (last week). It really does take 14-16 weeks now - anyone saying otherwise is either using a third party (not allowed by CIC) or applied earlier in the year for their clearance certificate.

    NAFTA term limit

I renewed my original NAFTA temporary work permit into Canada that was for 12 months, and then had it extended for another three years. Is there a limit to the duration I can work in Canada as a NAFTA professional, or could I theoretically renew it for another number of years?

    American/Canadian Taxes

Your husband (only a Canadian citizen) does not have to file a US tax return. You (American citizen + PR) do have to file a US tax return. The first $97,000 or so of employment income will be exempt from any US taxes provided you lived in Canada throughout the year. Other types of income become...

    September 2014 - CEC Applications

Hi guys, For those of you who have received AORs, did you already have your police clearance certificate submitted with your application? I am wondering at what stage in the process CIC asks for the clearance certificate. I want to submit my application but don't have the results from the FBI...

Question regarding tax information to include in the CEC application

Call CRA at 1-800-959-8281 and hit star (*) to speak with an agent, M-F during business hours (typically 9-5 at this time of the year). If you can't get it online and you don't have original copies any more (which HR block never should have kept anyway?), whatever they may have to offer is...

    NOC 1111 Internal Auditor

You don't have to be just preparing financial statements to qualify for NOC 1111: www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2011/quicksearch.aspx?val65=1111 I'm sure that if you are working as an internal auditor you would meet some of the criteria in there.

Applying now vs. waiting for express entry program

That makes sense, thanks guys. I guess I just assumed we would qualify given our current employment in skilled positions and 7 year history in Canada by the time our current work permits expire. Can't hurt to just go ahead and get the application done though. Maybe if I get it in in December...

Thought I'd seek some feedback...Background information below and then a few questions: 1) My wife and I are both US citizens. We both have undergraduate degrees from Canada, and my wife has a second from another Canadian university. 2) I have about 16 months work experience in NOC 1111...
