Here Is My Story

I have PGWP which will expires in FEB 10th , 2017. I have applied for OWP accompanying my wife study permit that valid for 1 year. While my application under processing I realized my passport will expires in MAR 11th, 2017. I have sent my PP to my embassy in Ottawa to renew it, but they only stamped it with 2 years extension. I wasn't fast enough to inform CIC about this update, so they only issued me up to my passport expiry date MAR 11 , 2017.

Right now I'm not sure what's my next move!

Should I apply to extend my OWP with my current passport that has extension stamp for 2 years.
or
Should I apply to renew my passport and then apply for OWP which will takes 28 days.

Note: I might bump up my CELPIP test score next week and receive the ITA. Basically I have too many things to do within a month. :-\

Is it better to wait and see if I can get the ITA, so I extend my OWP based on my PR application ?

i think in your case apply for the passport and then you can apply for Permit extension once you have you PP with new dates

i would say since its your current pp is still valid for 2 years you can wait and see if you get an ITA , because if you do get an ITA it obviously wouldn't take more than 2 years to get processed right ? make sense ?

I suggest you ask this question after tomorrow's (likely) draw...you will have a better idea where u stand....just my thoughts

I did take the CELPIP in January and got the same scores as my first one, so no points were added. Planning to take it this month and hopefully I can get the ITA by the second draw.

Some suggestions I have posted over past few months:

Writing: google how to write professional emails. Learn tips how to start and end emails. Try to squeeze in 1-2 advance English words. This Worked for me.

Speaking: practice speaking to your computer everyday. Try answering sample question for each category. Try to time yourself so you are not ending incomplete sentence.
I also recommend this:

I watched Netflix a lot with subtitles to improve reading and listeninG

Always go for re-evaluation....I saw several ppl including myself whose score improved

After re-evaluation, My speaking changed from 8 to 9

To have it all above CLB9 is worth the re-evaluation $ I guess.
