By any chance, would that be 'driving across the border', to the U.S. and back? If so, 'parker' may have some input on that.

I think I got the US visa waiver stamp in passport - we had to pay $10 or something and given a green card valid for three month stapled to UK passport.

You should be fine, it's not like you stayed for 2 years.

Does going to the states I have the stamp in my passport
help in this case?
Did you get it coming back to Canada or going to the US?

Though we feel it is scary, CIC will not look at it that way. CIC would look at the "intention" of your stay in Canada. What was your "intention" when you came to Canada on that 6 months 2 days visit? Was it to stay here permanently? Discard your passport and go underground? While at the same time, creating an impression for the immigration officer that you are here only for a temporary period? I think, certainly not. It is those guys that CIC are on the look out for, not a couple of days of overstay.

Send in the forms providing the correct information with explanations for anything that seems out of ordinary and you will be just fine. Worry, frustrations and being at your wit's end is an integral part of Canada's PR process. You would need a lot of patience to go through this process. But in the end, it all turns out to be perfect - wait and see :)

Going into states..
So you were allowed to stay in the USA for 3 months. If there's nothing there from Canada, you have another 6 months :)

We went to states via road/driving went Seattle for weekend - was told I need to fill in visa waiver green form paid $10 they stapled the green card to my UK passport gave me the full visa waiver for 3 months in states

On my return at Canada border they never stamped my passport - how would they know they gave me another
reset of six months if they didn't stamp a entry date?

So driving to states and driving back into Canada resets the six months? Visa

Intresting.

I dont think you get another six months when you cross the border back into Canada. They (Canada) never stamped my passport when i got back from a couple of days in the states.
When I applied for extension on my visitor status, they added that to the date stamped in my passport when I arrived original at the airport.

Coming back to youre original message. If they didnt gave you a hard time at the airport after overstaying for 2 days I dont think they would now.

Goodluck with youre application
