This is my first post here, but I've lurked this forum many times before to help me with my application. Here's one that I've searched high and low for but still can't find a definitive answer to. I would really appreciate anyone's help in this matter!
They ask for "notarized (certified) translations" of legal documents. I'm confused, do I get it translated by lawyers? Or get it translated and then stamped by a notary? Or use a (court?) certified translater and ask for a sworn statement? Or do I make notarized copies of the documents then get them translated like normal? Or something else?
What will the Immigration office find most acceptable way of translating legal documents?
Also I am with my spouse now in Prague. I know this is a silly question but I just want to make sure... they accept translation work from overseas,correct? The translators just have to be certified in their own country (Czech Republic in my case)?
Actually I've tried contacting the Vienna office about this question (one of many questions I have!), but on the website they say they don't answer any inquiries. So if anyone has any suggestions about who else I can contact I would be so grateful. Normally that would be an exaggeration but when it comes to family reunification it is definitely not!
