Hi guys, just got my GCMS notes a while ago. I just noticed that I already have my own UCI number. Is that a good thing?

I am still waiting for my PPR, our Manila VO is moving in a very slow pace.... :'(

Yes, you can use that UCI to check ECAS with your information now.

How long did it take you to receive the GCMS notes after you requested them?

It took 56 days before I received my GCMS notes. The only update I got was my medicals, which I passed. While security, criminality and eligibility checks says : not started.

At Toronto airport. I've just landed as a Permanent Resident. Please can someone update the spreadsheet?

Pretty simple process. Long wait at Immigration but nothing out of the ordinary.

Once my PR status was confirmed, I went to another desk to apply for my SIN number. No line up there so just walked straight in. Took less than an hour for all of it.

Lots of "Welcome to Canada" including plenty of info leaflets.

This whole process is still sinking in. Still can't believe I'm all done.

Hey BossJosh, just got email from our dear CIC Overlords, requesting additional information. I'm not sure where this falls on the spreadsheet, as the ECAS has not officially changed to 'In Process' yet... But anyways, they're asking for:

~ 2 Passport Photos for my wife. (Dangit, but w/e)

~ Right of Permanent Residence Fee (expected)

~ Employment Letter (annoying, but not hard to deal with)

~ Evidence of Canadian Residence (Enh, more photocopies of pay-stubs, rental agreement, et cetera)

~ Notice of Assessment or 'Option C Printout' for most recent taxed year.

THIS is what's giving me the headache; they couldn't wait just one more month? I was going to file taxes for this year, and that would've been no trouble at all. Before that, my most recent year for filing taxes was 2009...

The exact phrasing of the request was:

A copy of Canada Revenue Agency’s Notice of tax Assessment or “Option C Printout” for your sponsor’s most recent taxation year.

Does that mean they'd take my notice of assessment for 2009, since it was the most recent year I actually filed taxes? Or does it have to be the 2012 (or 2013) tax year?

If so, I can still make this work... I have sixty fifty-nine days to file, get my assessment back, and send it in with the other stuff. This timing is just really, really irritating. ><

Hi Star... I did not apply for GCMS notes as nothing would have been started yet. I will see at end of March or beginning of April. I hope New Delhi will be processing July by then.

same with me sis. It's very disappointing to know for 7 months there's still no movement with our papers. GCMS notes is my last resort to know what's happening to my application since my e-cas info is still application received and CEM doesn't reply to email inquiries.
