Hi all!

It's so great to see that some of you are getting your visas already.

We received our AOR and Doc Request from Mexico City on November 15 while we were together in Mazatlan. It was great news!
My husband has a little running around to do but, if he's not asked for an interview we're hoping he'll be here by February. We can't wait to get this process over with. It's so stressful.

Hi Desi-girl, I am sorry for you being frustrated, but you know, the reasonI am off the forum, and just pop in once in a while, that I decided to forget about this CIC issue. Like it does not even exist. i need to be a happy mother, calm and nice, and the two together just didnt work out properly.

Hi dear! Thank you for your wishes. I too am keeping everyone in my prayers for a speedy visa processing and especially for you because you have already been through so much with your application and the Visa Office. So hopefully everything runs smoothly.

I am on and off the forum here too and keeping off ECAS for now. I think I am coming to terms with how stupid and lazy my VO is, because I think that eventually there will be a time in the next few months when we are all in Canada. It is no use getting frustrated over something that we can't control.
How are you and the girls doing?

It is such a relief after nobody knowing where our application was! He hasn't gotten his letter yet. I did send an email to the embassy asking if they used our prepaid waybill or sent it regular mail and they replied that they sent it via courier but, the tracking number still says nothing so, I don't know. We're going to try to get everything else together while we wait for the letter and then he'll have to renew his passport right after he sends everything to the embassy.
When is your husband going to visit you?

He'll be here on December 14th, I'm looking forward to being with him ;D. At least that's going to distract me from being thinking to much about all this process.

I chased up my application today and only received the generic email back from them (below).

So obviously no one has touched my application. Very frustrating when others are flying through in less than 3 months. More waiting to come.......

Please be advised that the initial review has been completed and your application is now awaiting review by an Immigration Officer.

So obviously no one has touched my application. Very frustrating when others are flying through in less than 3 months. More waiting to come.......

I wonder what the initial review is. Why do they make all the processing tasks more complicated by adding extra steps?
But don't get frustrated MCARTER82, I am sure everything will work out and get processed faster once an Immigration Officer takes your file into their hands. Best of luck .

I don't believe there is an initial review, it's just a ploy to send this generic email to buy themselves some more time. I questioned in my email, why some August applicants have already received COPR if, as they state, "applications are reviewed in order of receipt", but of course their email didn't answer that question.

I'm not sure how they do things when it come to the different stages but, we got interview request with doc request and PPR. Had the interview and brought docs and passport. They kept all.

I know my MP personally, so after the interview I was worried about denial so I had him look into it. He told me it has a note to be brought forward again February 6, 2014.

I really hope that note was put there when they received it rather than now after the interview. If so I'm waiting 3 more months to hear if the interview was successful?? Ughh Why can't they just do it now that the file is open. I'm confused too.

Thanks for your wishes MCARTER82. Of course they won't answer questions that would point out that their system has flaws. And you are right about the generic email. Even the MPs have generic responses to our queries. Hope you get your visa soon.

It's too bad that they do this. I don't understand the need for delay. What don't they just process faster after the interview when they would remember what the interview was like.
I hope they process your file before February. Praying for you.

Oh God, why would they delay it now? Maybe that is only the protocol , they only had to inform the MP with this official way of process, but they might send something sooner. I would highly doubt that now they close your file for two months... But anyways, a big NO would have been told right next day as I read in the other threads, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I really hope they don't sit on it for 2 months then give me a denial. That would be horrible. I can wait if it all goes through well. Better 2 months than a 2 year appeal process.

Hi, thats good that you got a response. The New Delhi office doesnt even respond to emails. good luck and stay positive!!
