Hi! When did you receive your AOR? Please provide me the date so I can update your info on the spreadsheet. Thanks!

I suggest that you don't rely too much on ECAS. Our application already got it's sponsorship approval and file transfer ,but ECAS still says Application Received. You can ask your lawyer to ask his/ her to check his/her email because they sent SAs on emails or snail mails (which happened to a few June 2013 applicants).

i originally sent the application in on may 24 .i received it back on july 3rd for missing signature of using a representative it was sent back to cic on july 9 and was received on july 10 . medical and police record was done in january 28 . vo office is in trinidad and bound for toronto .aor posted on my file on july 28 thanks mrsalvaro for everything

Are you the sponsor? There's a portion in the forms where the sponsor's email address is required so the sponsor can be notified if there are progress on the application.

But since you have your lawyer as your representative, all communication will pass thru her/his emails.

Yes, you should call him/her often regarding on the updates of your application. You can check the progress of out other follow members here on the spreadsheet who have the same timeline as yours so you'll have an idea when to have a follow up on your lawyer.
