Just got the AOR email, August 1st 2013. It says they received the application on July 15th 2013.

You should receive good news soon sis. Your application is already on its 17th day. AORs should be emailed to you this week or early next week.

I am excited for you as well.

Stage 1 AOR means that they already received your application package and they are ready to assess your sponsor's eligibility to sponsor you. Some people don't get the AOR (which on an average is issued at the first 2 weeks) but they receive it together with the Sponsorship approval.

You are on your 15th day since you filed your applicatioon. You should be receiving AOR soon, maybe within this week or next week.

Here's the sample AOR letter (mine) that should be emailed to your sponsor's email address:

AOR will be sent to your Sponsor's email and it goes like this:

I have a question: What does Stage 1 AOR mean?
I've been told that some people get an e-mail and some people don't for that step...

Would somebody mind going into a little bit more detail about what is is and when I should be expecting an e-mail? What exactly does it entail?

Hi oh101.

You have the same timeline as Blackwood and Hungary as well as ism45. Your SA should arrive soon so you should check your sponsor's email regularly.
It might come this week or by next week. They've been giving AORs on average of 16-20 days lately. Or your AOR and SA will be given to you both at the same time. Just wait for it...think positive.

a quick question for those that already got approved, when you check on ecas does it also update to status sponsor approved? or what does it say? and also did it update the same time you got the email?

Hey sis, I am sure you'll get SA real soon.

Well as of this moment, our ecas still says Application Received even though our file is already transferred. Ecas is not that much reliable and they only update it on Tuesdays.

You should check your sponsor's email regularly.
