The effective way to send files to CIC

Hi everyone

I have a question is there any difference between sending my documents to the cic through Express mail or sending it through email and is there any problem for hiring an immigration lawyer because there's someone told don't ever do that
I need some help.

Every time i send by UPS, i think UPS is the most effective. Even it's more expensive than Canada post, but it really faster than others.
