Dear legafalcon. I Applied as FSW Applicant May 16, 2018. Entered IP1 24th of May after which i Got a mail June 4 for a further Medical for my wife. After 1 months, we went and do the further medical request. On 28th of June, I was surprised when i checked my profile and saw that my BG has started. July 4th the medical Got passed and since then no more update. i called IRCC today. i was told same thing i know...BUT ALSO MENTIONED SOMETHING THAT BG IS THREE FOLDS MEDICAL, CRIMINALITY AND SECURITY. HE SAID I HAVE PASSED MEDICAL AND CRIMINALITY. THAT SECURITY IS ON GOING AND MY FILE IS AWAITING TO BE REVIEWS. HE DIDNT MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT ELIGIBILITY PASSED?

SHOULD I BE WORRIED OR IS IT A GOOD NEWS?

Well that explains the delay then. Hopefully you will get your PPR next week or so

As per the status, your security is ongoing. Can you provide me with the date when your eligibility was passed?

Also, your meds have expired, you can request IRCC to extend your meds via CSE

My wife sent application in canada and i still live in lebanon and our life is on hold.

April 06 Application sent
April 10 Application received
April 25 they asked for Medical exam
April 27 we go an email saying my wife is eligible to sponsor me
April 28 i did my medical exam
Sept 20 asked for schedule A
Sept 22 schedual A sent
Nov 10 interview in canadian embassy in Lebanon
Nov 11 we recieved an email about pre arrival services
Nov 13 they asked for additional papers
Dec 04 paper where sent
March 16 Contacted embassy and they said we're in Security Check process final stage
June 01 sent an applicatiom through the website requesting information because it's been over a year
June 11 they replied saying application still in process and it may vary between each case.

Need help what else can we do...

Have your tried requesting CSIS notes and CBSA notes and see if either of them have concluded their involvement in your application.

Thanks for your help on so many cases in this forum and I would like to ask your opinion on my partners' PCC issue.
Me and my partner applied for CEC-EE as a common-law in the mid of this May - our AOR date is 17th May and MEP was around 28th May.
My partner is from Mexico and since Mexican PCC is not required upfront, we are still waiting for the letter from CIC so he can apply for his PCC right in Mexico.
It has been 50 days since our AOR now and we have not received any letter from CIC to apply for his PCC yet.

The thing is that my partner has been mostly in Canada for studying since he was 18 years old - even before 18th birthday he was going to secondary school in Canada then went to Canadian university right after - and only went back to Mexico for vacation for longest 3 months during every year. What I understand from the new PCC rule, PCC is only required for the countries where a person was staying for more than 6 months in a row... but not sure if it is also applicable to home country.

He is in Mexico for vacation right now and he wants to get his PCC done before he comes back in Canada in August. Now is July.... we are not sure what to do. From my understanding, PCC clear seems to be happening sometimes soon after Medical passed (if I am wrong, please correct me).

1. I am just curious about how CSIS carry out checks for work experience ? I mean do they call the company directly or enquire through email ?

2. Also , my husbands PCC dosent has surname , just his first name .... But it has all his other details like passport number and photograph ?? Is it fine or will it cause a problem ??

@legalfalcon My AOR is May 3 and since it has been more than 60 days, I called up IRCC call centre to get an update on my account... as per the agent, I have passed "eligibility" and background checks are still under process...I haven't paid RPRF yet... what do you think would be the approximate time that I would be able to receive PPR in such a scenario? Hey legalfalcon,

I just want some clarity, since I read your anatomy post, and I’m confused about the wait time of my application (mostly the BGC).
I’m inland spousal PR applicant and submitted my FBI and RCMP PCs
Both had no criminal history.

However they were accepted March 27, and i haven’t heard back.

I thought this would be straight forward since I have no criminal background and I’m from the USA

Any thoughts??
