in what stage of the application is travel history checked?
eligibility, criminality or security?

on CIC's offical guide on security and criminality here, https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/resources/manuals/enf/enf02-eng.pdf, i couldnt find anything about travel history so im guessing officer looks at it during eligibility phase?

3. Criminality – Each e-APR has to be accompanied with Police Clearance Certificates in which the applicant has lived for more than 6 months. Read more on PCC here. Based on the PCCs submitted by the applicant and the travel history, the criminality is passed.

4. Security – The last and the final stage is the security. This is a serious & time-consuming stage and is done by Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) and Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS). Many factors are considered here, such as number of countries visited, applicant country of residence and the political situation there, past law enforcement or military record, prolonged stay in a country with out sufficient documents to prove cause, frequent traveling to certain nations. Upon the completion of the security check by CSIS, the report is submitted to IRCC.

Is there a post/website which tells how to read the GCMS notes. Mine are 80 pages long.

See page 2 of the GCMS notes for the status, then go to the last 5-7 pages and read the notes. This in nutshell is enough. If you want to dig more, then go into activities, points calculation.

If you spend time, and read the threads here, you will be able to read your own notes without any issues.

@legalfalcon a friend in a forum just got PPR. Mentioned she had two visa refusals from the US and Canada but never got an adr for Schedule A.

I thought it's mandatory to fill schedule A if you have answer yes to any statutory question.

No, schedule A is only asked when there are gaps in your personal or travel history. If you do a through job in filling your forms, you will not receive any ADR. In all the application I have worked for, none of the applicants received any ADR.

Need your expert advice plz.
on admissibility section bottom page I’ve security:1 and on top page S15(1) and on next bottom page (top page empty) spouse security:2 and on both says type: security. Does that mean i am under SS?
And on application assignment date is 1st August, 2018. What does this represent for?

In most cases it is the males who are in SS, however, it is not unusual to have women under SS too.

The SS is based on many factors, and country of origin is only one of the many. See the detailed post I wrote title anatomy of a background check.

In most cases, yes, but if you see 4 SS activities then your SS is done.

In April 2017, I received ITA and in may 22, I submitted all my documents. However, my wife was expecting thus I messaged CIC about my status. Once my baby was born, I submitted her medical passport and all the related documents. In November 2017 our medical was approved. Since then 8 months have passed, I've received no further update. Last month I requested for GCMS report the and summary I received is

As per the status, your security is ongoing. Can you provide me with the date when your eligibility was passed?

Also, your meds have expired, you can request IRCC to extend your meds via CSE

My wife sent application in canada and i still live in lebanon and our life is on hold.

April 06 Application sent
April 10 Application received
April 25 they asked for Medical exam
April 27 we go an email saying my wife is eligible to sponsor me
April 28 i did my medical exam
Sept 20 asked for schedule A
Sept 22 schedual A sent
Nov 10 interview in canadian embassy in Lebanon
Nov 11 we recieved an email about pre arrival services
Nov 13 they asked for additional papers
Dec 04 paper where sent
March 16 Contacted embassy and they said we're in Security Check process final stage
June 01 sent an applicatiom through the website requesting information because it's been over a year
June 11 they replied saying application still in process and it may vary between each case.

Need help what else can we do...

Dear legafalcon. I Applied as FSW Applicant May 16, 2018. Entered IP1 24th of May after which i Got a mail June 4 for a further Medical for my wife. After 1 months, we went and do the further medical request. On 28th of June, I was surprised when i checked my profile and saw that my BG has started. July 4th the medical Got passed and since then no more update. i called IRCC today. i was told same thing i know...BUT ALSO MENTIONED SOMETHING THAT BG IS THREE FOLDS MEDICAL, CRIMINALITY AND SECURITY. HE SAID I HAVE PASSED MEDICAL AND CRIMINALITY. THAT SECURITY IS ON GOING AND MY FILE IS AWAITING TO BE REVIEWED BY A VO.

NOTHNG ABUT ELIGIBILITY PASSED. DOES IT MEAN I HAVENT PASSED ELIGIBILITY. CURRENT STATUS- WE ARE PROCESSING YOUR BG

SHOULD I BE WORRIED OR IS IT A GOOD NEWS?
