My background checks were in-process in MYCIC account since Oct,2016 but today in GCKEY account it is changed to not applicable. It means background check has been completed..?

It is difficult to predict if the issue is due to security screening or your eligibility not being passed yet. Have you ordered your GCMS notes? Your GCMS notes should provide you with a in-depth picture of what is delaying your file.
Yes i have ordered for a GCMS notes and i will be receiving it by the 1st week of February. Thank you Sir

@legalfalcon and others:
I have received my GCMS notes that were generated in early December. I have 4 activities under Activities section: 3 of them do not mention whether they are security or security screening; while activity 4 is security. I understand the info is hidden under s.15(1), but I didn't see anyone else here has a similar case. The cases I have seen here shows either security or security screening under sub-activities.

There are a few other places where info is hidden under s.15(1), mainly relating to security and the details of my past government employment. I have submitted the Details of Government Employment form that was requested (although I left the job more than 10 years ago). In the notes section, the officer/case analyst/program assistant have reviewed my file and everything else seems fine.

Here are the some of the details from the GCMS notes (I am applicant 2 if it matters):

hello @legalfalcon ,
I need a bit of help, i filled my Schedule A form , in which they asking " if you are refuse entry to canada or any other country on Visit Visa or permanent residence etc". it is a check box and an explanation is required in the end.

I was refused Visit visa to Canada, and after Canada i also applied to Norway to take my wife who is my sponsor as well to visit europe but it was also refuse.
I mentioned in Schedule A form about my Canada Visit visa refusal only, and i didnt mention anything about my norway visit visa refusal.
what can i do now.
do i have to fill another Schedule A form and mention the Norway visit visa refusal as well. ? or leave it and no need

Thanks for the reply, legalfalcon. I read the link you provided. I am still unclear why they would not show SS or security sub-activity in my GCMS notes as they are not known to hide this piece of information in others' GCMS notes.

If you do not see SS, then you so not have SS. The sub-activities are usually not retracted.

Raise a CSE and explain. Just let them know that when you filled the form and application, you forgot to mention the Norway refusal.

@legalfalcon Just inform them or send them a new Schedule A form with refusal papers

Any schedule is only required to be filled when expressly asked by IRCC. Also, there is no need for refusal papers, as the visa refusal does not impact the processing of your PR application. There questions are asked to assess the threat of immigration fraud.

Thank you @legalfalcon, i really appreciate your help

dear @legalfalcon please shed some light on below info of mine
I am PNP July applicant and and in IP2 since Nov 29, 2017. I emailed CPC Ottawa a couple days ago and asked for an update. Following is their reply
"Your file is currently in queue for officer review. We do not require any documents from you at this time. We will contact you if further information is needed."
I thought I was under SS but this reply has confused me as normally they say your application requires additional verification if under SS. Secondly I got my gcms notes today and assessment is like this
ASSESSMENTS
Eligibility: Passed
Security:' (info here is retracted)
Criminality: Passed
Info Sharing: Complete

Under the admissibility it says
Security: 1

UCI #:XXXX
Family Name: XXXX
Given Name: XXXX
Type: Security

Under application I have
APPLICATION: 1
Created Date:
Created By:
Updated Date:
Updated By:
Field Name: Security
Action: Updated
Old Value: Not Started
New Value: (seems like retraction here as down below Ottawa's O,t,t have there tops a bit cut off)
Office: CPC-Ottawa

and I have 4 activities and everything retracted except for my name and UCI #

Is it true that cic has recently started redacting SS info from gcms notes?

This is not recently, Security related information is never disclosed. Only sub-activities can be seen.

This is absolutely incorrect that if your file is in SS, you receive "application requires additional verification." Don't go by made up myths. IRCC has standard templates that they use, which does not signify anything.

With the above info, it doesn't seem you are in SS, just that your security is ongoing.
