Hello,
Asking for a friend. He is in security screening since one year. He works in an organization, Organization which is under scrutiny for importing items used for strategic projects such as cruise missiles and all. However, he has nothing to do with imports or other things and his records are clear. Is it possible he will deemed inadmissible under Section 34?
@legalfalcon @caipsnotes
That fact alone wouldn't/shouldn't

Currently everything is up in the air, all timelines and time frame have been tossed out. Just give it some time and soon you should have some good news.
@legalfalcon We applied for my husband's TRV from India on Feb 6, 2021. A request was sent to him for Medicals to be completed. Don't know why they are asking for a medical for TRV. Please note that our Medicals for PR have expired but we did not get a request for remedical.

As my husband is asked for medical for TRV by IRCC, do you think there are high chances of TRV approval. Plz, advice?

TRV and PR are processed individually on their own merits. Having a RP application in progress does not preclude you from filing a TRV, which will be processed on its own merits.

As regards medicals, TRV (visitor's visa) does not need medical, but they requested one, the same medicals will also be used for PR.

Hi. There is nothing you can do per se to help the application when security is in progress, you just have to wait. If there has been an extra ordinary delay then you can consider a writ of mandamus . See more about security here https://bit.ly/3iXMnyw and see the security check manual as well https://bit.ly/3mqHP5I

Hi, even my application has been stuck in screen for more than a year and I've no idea what's happening. Do you have travel history that you think can be the issue? I travelled to Germany only for 5 months and I gave them the proof. I am not sure where the file is stuck.
I filed an ATIP request to the CSIS asking if IRCC forwarded any application for review. Still waiting for them to get back.

@legalfalcon how can I request notes from CBSA? The same ATIP site?

Yes, select CBSA in the name of the institution from where you wish to apply.

@legalfalcon I recently received GCMS notes. I am a paper based PNP applicant applied in May 2018. Since last July 2020 I've had no update on my file. They asked me to submit job letter which I did and they passed my eligibility which I can see it as a note on the file. They sent that pre-arrival services letter as well. According to your post, BCG should be the next step but it still says Criminality: not started and Security is blank but there is another Criminality section which makes a note of my RCMP screening which was also passed last year. I can't make out where exactly my application is stuck.

Would you know why this is the case? Why BCG hasn't started? I also noticed that in the Organization section of the GCMS notes, they wrote "Triage Criteria - Admissibility" as the name and has some organization ID O############. Do you also know what this is?

I just got a reply back from CSIS regarding the ATIP request I sent. They send back a letter saying they don't have any records relevant to my request. They also said there are no records pertaining to the reason why there has been a delay of 1 year since I passed my eligibility in Aug 2020.

Does this mean the IRCC hasn't forwarded my application to CSIS? Do all application go under CSIS process or it can only be CBSA only? I requested notes from CBSA too which hasn't been delivered yet and it's now my only hope that might solve this puzzle why there has been this big delay. Sorry to bug you, can you shed some light on this? @legalfalcon @caipsnotes

CSIS is not involved in all security screening requests. Also, it could indicate that IRCC may not have sent the request for SS to CSIS. No agency will be able to inform you what there is a delay of more than 1 year, as it is IRCC that handles the applications and note CBSA or CSIS. Since security screening procedures are not disclosed, it I difficult to estimate on what basis the files are sent and when.

To read more ons security's screening an how it is done, including the security screening manual that Is available in the public domain, see https://bit.ly/3apWglN

I am an Electronics Engineer with my masters in Project management. I have never worked in sensitive areas like pure military, nor i am trained in explosives, nuclear technology, intelligence etc. My organization is civilian government engineering organization. But i guess they had put me in enhanced security. When do you think i should order my CBSA notes? I will use your services now, previously my friend ordered for me.
My security started on 1st April 2020.
My AOR is 20th Oct.
I got ADRs on 11 March 2020. 1) Schedule-A ... (2) CV (3) Grad Kit (4) Travel History Form....

After this on 09 September 2020 I got remedical request.. Is this sign of completion of my Security Screening??
On 01 November 2020, I got married and my wife is US national, updated IRCC about it they send some ADRs again for my wife, I submitted all documents.
On 16 April 2021 I got another letter in my portal that my wife need to do biometric in US, that is also submitted now..
Whats next ?
Her security is complete or not?
Should i order GCMS or CBSA/CSIS notes?

Expert reply will be appreciated... Please look at my signature also...

Does the CSIS send notes in the same format as the IRCC? In my case, they said they don't have any relevant records on me so they just sent me a letter saying that. Is that the format they go with for everyone?

CSIS does not send any elaborate notes as they do not work on the Global Case management System. IF you were informed that there was no information found pertaining to your details, this means that either CSIS is not involved in the screening of your application or the screening request has not yet been sent to CSIS. You won't receive any more information.
