Nothing bro. Have ordered CBSA notes. I got an email for an extension of 30 more days. Medicals have expired. Seems like London Visa Office is sleping as well.

1. Yes, if your eligibility has passed. Security or BGC is criminality + Security. Criminality happens before eligibility and security after eligibility.

2. See your GCMS notes.

3. Most security is done within 1-3 weeks. Only some applications get stuck for longer. So if 2 months have passed by since your eligibility was passed, you may have to wait longer.
My criminality was passed before eligibility and became ‘not started’ after eligibility. Any idea on that? @legalfalcon

Criminality is always started before eligibility and for most is passed too as during R10 based on your PCCs the criminality is started. However, if your biometrics are pending, or have to been processed by RCMP, then your criminality will be pending too while other stages will move ahead.

How long criminality and security take after eligibility?
Any idea
Criminality is based on PCCs and biometrics. It is fairly quick. As regards security, an average security screening takes 110 days. To read more on security and the security screening manual, see https://bit.ly/3apWglN

I am going to complete my 6 months on this 19th feb. I called cic they said security cancelled and its now in processing. What is this means?
As per IRCC's annual 2019 annual report it takes 8-9 months for an application to process. This was pre-COVID

Cancelled and now in progress, doesn't seem right. To read on security and how it is done, see https://bit.ly/3apWglN

How long did it take to process an Express Entry application?
Table 35 displays the time, in months, that IRCC took to process 80% of applications under each program. In 2019, IRCC did not meet the processing standard of finalizing 80% of all applications sourced via Express Entry within six months. The processing time for Express Entry, overall, was eight months. As an alternative measure of processing times, 60% of applications finalized in the 12-month period ending on December 31, 2019, were completed within the six-month service standard.

Table 35: Processing Times for Express Entry applications finalized by year and immigration category, in months

Data is operational and as such should be considered preliminary and subject to change.

  • Processing times refer to the time in which 80% of applications were finalized by IRCC. The processing time is measured from the day a complete application is received until the time a final decision is made by an immigration officer.

@legalfalcon my husband might apply for PR in the future.
I have two doubts. It will put my mind at ease if you can clarify

1. I have no social media presence. No Facebook,no insta, no linkedin .will it affect our application when am secondary applicant. I'm a house wife and I have about 2 years work experience will we will put in personal history only. Will the absence of social media be a red flag in my background check ?

2. I worked in an customer care tele-calling center for a month in-between second year and third year of college . I dint resign or anything. Just absconded from work when college started again . Should I mention this in my application as well

1. No, you do not have to have social media presence to immigrate. If you do have, then open source searches can be done. See https://bit.ly/3pjZCw2

2. Yes. s. 16 of IRPA states:
  • 16 (1) A person who makes an application must answer truthfully all questions put to them for the purpose of the examination and must produce a visa and all relevant evidence and documents that the officer reasonably requires.
If you never resigned, that is not a crime. But list your job in your personal history section.

Thank you . This social media thing is bugging me. I thought in this day and age , absence of social media might be a red flag.
