That's a relief to know, however I did read on one of the threads that if you haven't received a NOI in some time, its best to recreate the profile.
from their search criteria on the website its looking like they are only selecting profiles created jan 1st onwards.

Where are you looking for jobs? Has anyone had any lucky finding a job?

This is really getting hopeless now. So badly waiting to get my Canadian dream

I am at 429 waiting on WES for my wife, will add another 8 points will put me at 438.
Already started applying for jobs and getting some positive responses. Fingers crossed :)

I signed up for linkedin premium and I think it is a pretty powerful platform for job seekers, also indeed is my 2nd source.
Good Luck!!!

I hope you meant 429 and 438. If I am right, job gives you only upto 50 points and needs LMIA.

Did you apply on linkedin for jobs? Which sites are you using?
I didn’t get any bite. Tried indeed.ca and linkedin.

Oh got it. No one is ready to sponsor with lmia....

Unless you're super human. Then you can get anyway NIW for EB2 in USA

I understand that. Is the LMIA a convoluted process? Are companies apprehensive in making a job offer if LMIA is required? Can you or someone shed more light on the process and timelines?

Same here. I tried to Linkedin and indeed too but no luck. I get replies but they are rather happy to offer me a job once I land in Canada.
@SithLord @lightning_crashes I believe that linkedin is a great platform and indeed is a great consolidation site but, it all depends on the industry and your job profile. I work in the IT industry in the Project Management doman. There are opportunities out there and I don't mean it's a cakewalk, I started applying a few weeks back and have heard from a couple of companies, I see that as a positive sign. I spent almost a month to create my resume and cover letter trying to make sure it stands out. You need to identify how you can differentiate yourself from others...my two cents :)

Yes fully agree. For LMIA i heard employers dont like the hassle unless ur v special and ur profile not available in Canada

Did you check this out from the CRS calculator page?

Note: a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate must either have been earned at an accredited Canadian university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute in Canada. Distance learning counts, but only if it made up less than half your study.

Now, I have heard people put in this forum that they were able to get ECA and then application based on distance education, but I have only heard of cases from folks who were not in Canada and studied from a non Canadian university. I am not sure, if this rule only applies if the University is canadian or simply doesn't matter. But, do find more on this, before investing your time.

Also, check out that the course should be 1-year full-time equivalent...

I got my points for 2 or more certificates, diplomas, degrees etc. I’m not getting points for Canadian diploma or degree or for study in Canada. The course is 33 credit hours which is a one year program.

Guys ,
I am at 437 , just submitted an EE. Had I done it earlier a few months back , before my birthday, I would have been 442.
So, is it going to come down to 437 or shall I give my IELTS again , I am currently at 7.5

Siddharth,
Its a good idea to start looking for jobs, but do we have a time limit once one receives an ITA and submits his/her documents.
