Hi,

I want to know whether it makes sense to request GCMS notes right now, or if I should wait for some time. My details:

FSW-O
AoR: October 7, 2019
Biometrics: October 24, 2019
Remedicals passed: December 21, 2021
CoR: India

A lot of people who passed their remeds in Nov/Dec '21 are getting PPRs now, so I'm wondering if I should be more concerned... Help!
hi @prediksh Which visa office is processing your application ?

If you are not in the US, and changed your CoR to India, you should have updated your address. If you did not, then inform IRCC and IRCC will send you new instructions to submit your passport in India.

If you will not land in Canada before you get married, you will have to add your spouse, send your spouse's documents and after they are processed, only then will you both be issued new PPRs. This can take 3-5 months.

Hi @legalfalcon

Thanks for your response. I did not change my CoR, I just came for few months to my home country for travelling.

This is the message I sent them through webform:
------------------------------------------
Hello,

I have applied for permanent residency through express entry on March 17, 2020. My application number is E00XXXXXX. I have received the Ready for Visa email few days ago. I am currently traveling in India and I am planning to get married next month (tentative marriage date is in February). I'll be in India until end of March. May I submit my passport in India for the remaining processing? Once the marriage is complete, I'll update my wife's details as well.

Please advise.

Dear @legalfalcon, there are MANY EE PNP applications whose files were sent to Etobicoke VO and no actions were taken by that VO for 6+ months. Later those applications got transferred to VO Halifax.
Halifax VO doesn't touch applications as well for 6+ months. Eligibility still NOT started for all the applicants who went via Etobicoke then Halifax.
Do you have any idea what is happening here? It is extremely weird for me that applications including mine has Eligibility still Not started more that a year after AOR after being at 2 visa offices + initially at CIO.
Do you have any idea about VO Halifax? I have seem ZERO approvals from that office. All of the files are EE PNP inlands.

Please comment on this. Thanks

@legalfalcon I would like to take this moment to thank you for all the support / help you provided so far. I got my PPR yesterday from CIO.

There is no relevance of the VO where your application is being processed. Although people have started giving too much weight on the VO.

IRCC can transfer the application to any VO across its domestic or international network.

There are delays and that has now become the norm.

@legalfalcon

what is the process of adding a new born to the application? I am Nov 2020 AOR, with expired medicals..

Send a webform and inform IRCC. IRCC will send you a list of documents and forms, submit them.

@legalfalcon FSW inland 2020 here. My medicals expired in Feb 2021 and it was extended till Feb 2022 (1st extension). Now my application is all stages complete waiting for ECOPR. Does IRCC extend the medical a second time to issue ECOPR assuming I receive portal email before expiry or would they ask for a remed? Have you seen anyone receive medical extensions twice? Thanks

According to https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...anada-requiring-immigration-medical-exam.html, I seem to be eligible for this. Will the officer consider this and auto extend the medical?

Hi @legalfalcon. I was asked to submit an updated POF and I submitted that after a couple of weeks. However, I just noticed the the currency exchange rate has gone down during this 2 weeks and by the time I sent the updated POF, I was few hundred CADs short because of the currency fluctuation. Would this be an issue? If yes, what should I do?

@legalfalcon hi

Today it is officially the start of my 28th month after AOR. My file got approved initially on April 2020 & my recent remedical was passed 56 days back. SGVO has replied to my mail that they will get back to me with the passport submission requirements within 90 days of medical pass.

Considering this situation, would you advice me to wait till the 90 days time frame and then go for Mandamus or rather I shall go with the Mandamus right now? & would waiting 90 days and then go with the Mandamus make my file stronger as they already told me about this 90 days ?

Lastly, If I want to go with Mandamus, should I apply for my GCMS now or do I need GCMS for me to go with Mandamus?

Thanks for your suggestion @legalfalcon

@legalfalcon ..... Hope you are in good health!

In express entry, I have claimed 50 points for LMIA approved arranged employment and am waiting for final decision. However now I do not wish to work there.

Is it possible that once I receive PR and land in Canada, I could give resignation on day one itself?

If Yes, then would it land me in any trouble in future?

Request you to please advise sir.

I also completed 25 months after AOR. I hold expired COPR and no contact from IRCC to renew it. They don't even respond to webform.

Once you become a PR, you can work anywhere and leave the employer that gave you the LIMA, given that you do not have any contractual obligations.
